This is a great place to meet up with a girlfriend and have tea. Good cookies and little finger sandwiches. Take something home, too.
This small restaurant is my favorite in the United States. I've been there several times and will continue to visit when I'm in Denver. The staff is friendly, the scones and ice tea are excellent, and I highly recommend their sandwiches. Parking can be an issue, but it's worth a few laps around the block or a short walk up... More
While the place seemed charming from the outside, the inside did not not live up to the hype. The paint peeled in several places. We reserved a table in advance, and was promptly seated upon our arrival. They placed reserved with Scrabble pieces. I found that to be a rather novel idea. The tea served was 'average'. You have the... More
Best tea and scones I've had outside England. They have good salads and sandwiches too. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff very nice.
Very nice English teahouse in the downtown area. Excellent selection of teas and cakes to enjoy inside or outside. run by people who have lived in England and know how it's done.. Took another couple from England with us and they really enjoyed a taste of home.
I just love this little place. Great little lunches here and reasonably priced. Very friendly service. I always like stopping in for something with out of town ladies who like to have an honest to goodness tea time!
My wife and I enjoyed a early afternoon tea at the House of Commons. The wait staff was very friendly and the selection of teas was almost overwhelming. The tower of tasty bites was very good. The atmosphere is informal with many people stopping for carry out orders. If you are looking for romantic, this isn't the place. If you... More
I'm certainly no "afternoon tea" expert, having only experienced the event a few times in Hong Kong, but I do like great food, great tea, and friendly people. My wife and I found all three, when we wandered upon this little hidden gem in Denver. I say "hidden" because the street address is 2401 15th street, but the entrance is... More
As an Englishman, I’m very particular about my tea, and House of Commons never disappoints. They have a HUGE variety of teas (served from a proper teapot of course), delicious soups and sandwiches and freshly-baked confectionaries, as well as various other English delicacies. And if you REALLY want to do things properly, they offer an authentic “afternoon tea” consisting of... More
We discovered this unique establishment last year while visiting the next door spice shop. The food, service and atmosphere has made it one of our favorites. Grandaughters love to join us for an "afternoon tea".
