Stopped in on the way back from Crested butte with friends . Made reservations while driving up from Colorado Springs. The server was extremely friendly, I had the wild mushroom veal Marsala that was prepared perfectly, the calzones ordered by my friends were outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant

I live in the neighborhood and Shells and Sauce is one of my favorite places for dinner! The food is good, the waitstaff is friendly and attentive and the bar is a good place to sit for a dinner and drink if you are solo. The owner's father is a sometime host and is always smiling and that's a great... More

We really enjoy the food at this location but the service was lacking. Our friends had to remind the waitress 2 times to bring their drinks and our server disappeared when it came time to pick up the tab. It also was very hot that day about 90 with no breeze and we were uncomfortably warm and no A/C was... More

The food is really good mostly old school Italian with a few twists, as well. The service is friendly and comfortable. The ambiance is also very comfortable and neighborly. Repeats visits are in order!

Just a quick review to rave about how great this place is! We caught the end of happy hour (which has really good deals on wine, beers and other drinks). We actually chose to order off the non-happy hour menu. Good choice of dishes for my vegetarian husband, and I ordered this amazing stuffed chicken....which I can't stop thinking about... More

I've been to Shells and Sauce twice with a friend and have had great meals each time. The house-made bread is super fresh and comes with a spicy dipping sauce. My friend loves the sausage and peppers appetizer. I had the seafood cioppino last weekend and it was very good. The broth was very flavorful and it was packed with... More

We went here for appetizers and drinks after a show. We were asked if we had a reservation. and because we didn't, they finally found a table for us upstairs by the bar. Ordered two drinks and four apps - Mac & Cheese in truffle oil, deep fried Brussel Sprouts, Crab Cakes, and Sausage & Peppers - each one absolutely... More

This little neighborhood restaurant is absolutely adorable. If I lived in this part of town, it would be my go-to place after work to grab a drink and a meal. Tons of atmosphere. It's cute, cozy, and local. What more could you want?? I've read this place can get busy and I believe it. The good is wonderful and service... More

This is probably one ugly little space when no one is in it. It's not too pretty when it is teeming with folks. There's definitely not much atmosphere and I am surprised they're allowed to put the # of people in the space as they have. It is super cramped and in the winter there's hardly any room to stand...
