Great sommelier

This is a very tiny restaurant, but the food is very good although the portions seemed small. The sommelier was very helpful in recommending a white wine.

The outstanding thing about Il Posto is the food. Very delicious. Risotto was just like at home :) Menu options is a quite limited. Lots of meat and fish, almost no vegetarian options. The vine card is large, though. I also think the menu is quite confusing with no one explaining what it means. However, the good experience of the... More

Il Posto flies under the radar in Denver except for its long time established clientele. The food is well prepared under the watchful eye of the owner who always seems to be there. The space is New York like in size and appearance, very comfortable and Il Posto offers some outside seating under lights that are quite charming. Be prepared... More

The food at Il Posto was excellent. They offer multi-course meals and a la carte selections. It is not an inexpensive restaruant, but it is worth it.

Went night before Memorial Day, ordered two starters (not bad) and then two mains of pasta, ok but a seriously lack of seasoning. The meat pasta was just standard nothing special. Slightly overrated and not the best Italian restaurant in Denver, due to lack of seasoning I would say this was under par for what i expected,

Food served to us was tasty but would have been much better if served hot. Ours was mostly lukewarm. Portions are relatively small especially for the price. Nice wine list and knowledgable service. Restaurant was packed and very loud - almost too loud to carry on conversation. There are better places for the money in Denver.

A friend & I had a wonderful lunch at Il Posto. I had a chilled avocado soup; she had the stuffed octopus; and we split the padina 'calzone' - all were delicious and beautifully presented. Waiter was very helpful in ensuring we received the light lunch we requested. Desserts other diners ordered looked spectacular. We enjoyed watching the cooks in... More

We each had the four course chef's sampler and the food was AMAZING! We also had some of the best service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. Our waiter was there and attentive when needed.

I went with a friend, and on first glance, and we were kind of disappointed with the space--in that there isn't much at all. You are really close to other diners and their tables. A waiter almost spilled my wine on me twice just trying to lean over to talk to people at one of his tables. But, on second... More

Our waiter was outstanding with pairing the Italian wine with our food! Risotto with mozzarella and ramps perfectly cooked, rabbit tender and delicious and the calamari stuffed with anchovies was an unusual combination of flavors and textures. All the dishes had great presentations and our waiter Max was exceptional.
