Description: What are your first three food and drink related visits when you head to...
What are your first three food and drink related visits when you head to your hometown? What do you order? Fried Clams from Kelly's? Supreme Sauce from Raynor's? A slice from Joe's? A take out order of a green-chili cheeseburger from The Owl Cafe? Maybe it's that hot dog from Pink's or those sticky ribs from Thelma's. Or do you head home for a bowl of Mom's chicken soup and brisket? We return to these classic spots for the comfort, the subtly unique flavor, the consistency, the familiarity, and the memories of both the food and the experience. Only one place can set the standard for certain foods. Lovers of food have their own "greatest hits collection." We yearn for that blissful moment that uses the powers of food, smell, sight, taste, and memory to take us to a happy place; that after school hangout, the corner deli, the pizza place and sometimes even Mom's kitchen. Steuben's is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940's to the 1960's on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, Proms and Sweet Sixteens and more. In its prime, Steuben's was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene. Steuben's, Denver, is a restaurant that respects the history of its name and the core ingredients of the American Regional classics we have attempted to recreate. These dishes are America's cuisine and American's interpretations of the dishes of our diverse cultural heritage. We have enjoyed the endless debates, opinions, stories, research, consultations and food memories that have led us to the opening version of the Steuben's menu. Eat at Steuben's. Take-Out from Steuben's. Drink at Steuben's. Feel at home, in Denver, at Steuben's.

Upscale Hip Comfort Food

Had a great meal at Steuben's while visiting my son in Denver. We started with the Steubie Snacks and the Punch Bowl drink. Oh my goodness---the punch really came in a punch bowl. It was very grapefruity and generously filled with several kinds of alcohol. There were four of us sharing it, and we... read more

Looking for a Cobb Salad, this restaurant was recommended to me. We tried it without a reservation and were seated outside on their terrace immediately. The Cobb was huge and had huge chunks of blue cheese in the dressing....I didn't need the Italian grinder we split but it was delicious as well. Service was fast paced and attentive and the... More

Great home food menu. Ordered take out and everything was excellent except my steak. There was sinew running through it and I couldn't even cut through it. I have only sent one plate back to the kitchen in my lifetime. However, if we had eaten in, this would have been the second. Would have been a 5 star rating but... More

I have yet to try an entree here that I don't love! My favorite is the lobster roll! It's so fresh and delicious I feel like I'm in Cape Cod. My hubby loves their chicken and waffles and our daughter loves their kids menu. The kids plates come with both fresh fruit and veggies. I love their almond cake for... More

This is THE place for comfort food! Four of us enjoyed their Fried Chicken, Chicken and Waffles, Meatloaf and Herb Roasted Chicken (Guy Fieri's fav according to staff). Oh, and yes they make DELICIOUS Macaroni and Cheese.

While visiting Colorado to celebrate Grandma's 90th birthday the cousins stopped by here again to enjoy some chow. They still got it. VERY good milkshakes, "Steubie Snacks", and other treats. Be sure to plan to wait on a Saturday as it can get busy, or call in a reservation 24 hours in advance for parties of 6 or more. We... More

We sat at a high top table, and in our party of four everyone agreed the food was outstanding. I recommend the crab roll or the calamari appetizer. The restaurant was very very loud, and pretty small. We had a short wait at 5:30pm, but by the time we left around 7 it was packed.

I love this place. I have been with my wife, my kids and by myself. The staff are absolutely fantastic. The food is--- home!! So good. Always delicious. Even the kids meals are absolutely ridiculously good. I go back every time I am in town.

Every time we eat at Steubens we are reminded why we love it. The restaurant is fun and has a great vibe. The drinks are always tasty. The service is always good even if the wait is too long! The deviled eggs, fries, burgers, chop salad, cubano, and butterscotch pudding were fabulous. They have the best blue cheese dressing on... More

Ate here with a colleague while in town on business. It was really busy on a Wednesday night which was a good sign but we only waited a couple of minutes for a table. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served quickly. The menu had lots of interesting choices, including a separate gluten free menu which gave my colleague... More
