We were in Denver for the day, and looking for a lunch location. We were very surprised to see we were standing in front of such a highly ranked restaurant. This two block are of Denver has a lot of restaurants, many of them well respected. We walked in about 12:30 on a Saturday, and were able to be seated... More

The service was excellent and friendly. We went for the Sunday brunch, and the food was delish! It's located on larimer street, convviniently located a block away from the downtown 16th street mall, which helped us walk off the long brunch we had!

One of the best in Denver; initially ate there for anniversary, then took our daughter & beau. We all enjoyed.

Dined at Rioja on Saturday night. It deserves its reputation as best restaurant in Denver. Lovely ambiance. Impeccable service, including a perfect wine recommendation (Spanish pinot noir) to go with our dinner choices (Grilled Berkshire pork chop and Grilled Spanish Octopus). The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. This truly ranks up there among my best meal experiences.... More

Reserve ahead if you're planning a trip to Denver. Even if you can't snag a reservation, drop in for drinks and apps at the bar, as we did. The specialty cocktails were unique and delicious and the "picnic" was spectacular and almost filling enough that after sharing it we debated whether we needed to order an entree. We settled on... Went with a group of five and we were very pleased to be seated at the Chef's table right away. What a great experience! Three of us had the Chef special, a fuul course Iceland experience, one had the fresh halibut, and I had the pork. All our dishes were very tasty, and served up quickly. We were very entertained... Wanted to show a New York friend that we have terrific restaurants in Denver, I took her to Rioja. We had a marvelous meal -- I had beet salad and she had artichoke pockets in cream sauce. We enjoyed our meal so much that we plan on returning here when next she comes to Denver.

We went here for lunch on a Thursday while in town for a conference and we were blown away! We desperately wanted to return for dinner it was so good! We enjoyed the picnic as a table appetizer and it was divine. We all selected the chicken sandwich for lunch... A chicken sandwich will never be the same again. They... More

Think of Rioja as a beefed-up, small plate tapas joint. The chef mixes in mouth-watering flavors in unique plates which tend to be a little on the smaller side. The atmosphere is a great mix of vibe on the entrance side and nice restaurant on the new addition side. Cocktail pours are generous and fast - this is probably the... More

I went by myself for dinner, a tad nervous as it was my first visit to Denver. I was welcomed, and seated (at my request) in a quieter area of the Chef's seating. When the server brought a lamb sausage appetizer, I asked if it contained pork (I'm allergic). He checked, and reported back that it did not have any... More
