This quaint little restarant sits on Larimer Square and I highly recommend sitting in the outside area. The lights of Larimer really add to the already great dining experience. I would consider this a perfect place for a date without being too cliche. I ordered a scalop dish with risotto and to date, have not had anything remotely comparable. The... More

The title sort of says it all. It really is great for any occasion, although it is pricey so you may want to save it for a special one.

Came earlier than planned, but restaurant was still able to accommodate me and a friend while we waited for a third party. Kept appetizers and drinks in steady flow and then dinner on time, spreading it out nicely for a business meal. Food was excellent, as been the experience in the past. Fish prepared perfectly. Others said same for meats.... More

Food was excellent! Even the salad was a food experience and something to rave about! Bread selection was delicious. The server was especially nice when he found out it was our anniversary. We would go back in a heartbeat. It is pricey, but worth it.

Once again, we had New Year's Eve dinner at Rioja. And, once again the food is perfect and delicious. Chef Jennifer Jasinski was actually cooking in the open kitchen. We found this remarkable since she now runs four outstanding downtown restaurants. The service is still attentive, friendly and efficient. Rioja is the most consistently excellent restaurant we have encountered. We... More

Amazing service and very good food. Nice romatic atmosphere and waiter was knowledgable. Went for my wife's birthday and desert was also on the house! ++

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to and I've been to a lot. The pasta dishes were delicious. They had freshly baked lavender biscuits, which were absolutely delicious. You could really taste the lavender in them. We hadn't read any reviews about this place. We were just walking around downtown Denver and happened into this place... More

Hit on all cylinders. Cheese tray appetizer was beautiful and very good. Bread selection was nice. Artichoke tortellini was unbelievable, as was the lamb, chicken and beef entrées. We were a group of 4 and everyone was totally pleased. Crowded but fun atmosphere and nice service. This was a total winner all around.

Denver is a growing food destination and Rioja is one of the best restaurants here. With a wonderful and extensive wine menu, great service, and an ever evolving menu I look forward to every visit to Rioja immensely.
