Best anniversary dinner EVER!

Went there for our 25th anniversary dinner. Service excellent. We got there fairly early, 5:45, with no reservations and they sat us. Our table ended up being in a very noisy area so they (graciously!) moved us to a table by the windows--view of outside diners, street and much quieter. After... read more

Had the pleasure to have dinner at Rioja based on a recommendation. What a wonderful meal. Not inexpensive but worth the money. I had the short ribs with the Rioja salad as a starter. Other had the lamb t-bone and the scallops. The fig and goat cheese dessert, and cannoli were also great. Nice atmosphere and great service. I highly... More

I followed the chef from another restaurant when she first opened Rioja - her food is delicious! This restaurant features northern Italian cuisine. My favorite is the artichoke stuffed tortelloni. And I love the goat cheese bread and the lavendar bread (they bring a selection of breads to choose from before your meal). I took a business contact here for... More

We visited to celebrate a 30th birthday, and this place did not disappoint! The service was wonderful, and the food was some of the best I've had in Colorado. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who considers himself to be a foodie. The service was wonderful, and they helped us make his birthday extra special. Great place for... More

My husband and I enjoyed a great brunch. The atmosphere was calm and not rushed like typical breakfast venues. We enjoyed our mimosa and bloody Mary and the menu was delicious. Also the house bread and biscuit basket was a treat!

Rioja continúes to be our favorite Denver restaurant for special occasions and for just eating at the bar when we want something we know will be delicious. I had tuna and it was so good; my husband had the green pea ravioli and it was great, too.

Recommended by a fellow convention attendee and we were very pleased with the diverse menu and the wonderful food quality and friendly service. Make reservations because this place is justifiably busy. We sat near the kitchen and it was interesting to watch the chefs create the unique dishes. Recommend this restaurant without qualification!

Not sure when, but interior of the restaraunt was re-designed in a manner that would appear to have one objective, maximize occupancy. Spacing was extremely poor and most of the time you had to closely watch the traffic (customers, waiters, etc) before you could stand-up and go anywhere. Lessens the customer experience. This restaraunt has been highly rated for a... More

Top-notch service with fresh, beautiful and delicious salads made for a perfect business lunch. Also, the bread and olive oil was delicious. I'd love to go back for dinner sometime.

By sheer good luck I was told to dine at Rioja. Make no mistake, this is a world class dining experience - its fine reputation is well-deserved. Each aspect of the meal is well-considered. It is clear that each individual ingredient is chosen with care and then combined with intelligence bordering on genius. I started with a Spring Salad that... More
