Always a consistent performer

We've been going to Rioja for years. The chef is innovative without a lot of "fru fru". We can always count on good service, good food, and fresh breads and their appetizer (in the photo) is excellent. WOW....eat here every time we are in Denver, June was our third time here. The Petaluma Chicken is the best chicken I've ever had and worth every penny (it's pricey!!). Help is always friendly. You just can't go wrong with this place!

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Rioja! We had the Rioja picnic as a starter, it was an excellent mix of meats, cheeses and other items. Probably the best mix plate I have had in a long time. Do not miss this! Also had the bacon starter, it was also very good. There were 4 of us, and we all... More

Excellent wine suggestion by our waiter. Also valuable input on pizza - does not recommend calzones. The burratta appetizer was lovely.

Had a solo dinner here while in town for a conference. Sat at the chef's counter and Katy kept me company while she prepped desserts and apps and rooted her Black Hawks to a Stanley Cup Championship. Food was amazing!! Hamachi appetizer was killer good and totally unique. Home-made raviolis were also outstanding. Give it a try!!

While in Denver we specifically wanted to try out this restaurant and it did not dissapoint! The portions are on the smaller side but the food was great and the ambiance was very nice. Worth the visit!

Looking for a Sunday brunch in Denver? This is your place! The breakfast selection was few but excellent - I had grits and poached eggs with a tomato ragout while my husband had an egg and avocado sandwich on jalapeño sourdough bread. Speaking of bread - the selection of fresh baked breads were amazing . Good coffee too!

We had a very good experience, starting with the food. It was all very tasty, interesting, and presented in a very attractive form. The service was wonderful. And on top of all, it was surprisingly affordable for a restaurant of its quality. I very highly recommend it.
