We had a 10+ group dinner here this week and I have to say we were all pleased with the night. It was a wonderful meal that was topped off with great wine and wonderful service. The dessert was amazing....I actually liked the fig sauce off of my plate. Thank you Rioja for a great meal and a fun night.

Pro:the host was very patient and helpful and the waitress was the type that adds to your dining experience. Food was a great break from the typical steak, chicken, and fish staples of most restaurants. The meal was tasty, fresh, interesting and the right portion so you could enjoy your conversation without having so much food that you felt compelled... More

A wonderful restaurant in Larimer Square with tables outside. It's very busy, but if you can get a table, you will not regret it. I highly recommend the beet gnocchi.

My husband and I went to Rioja for our anniversary dinner, having read some great reviews. We are always a little wary of hype, and went in with an open mind. Thankfully all the fantastic comments you read are true, and the food we had was without a doubt the best we've ever had in Denver. We had to take... More

hard to get a reservation but well worth it. Though busy the kitchen accommodated our request to have a combination plate of appetizers because we couldn't make up our minds. As a chef myself I say bravo on every course.seasonings and flavorings were subtle but combined for an excellent result.service was attentive and informative. Will be back.

Went to lunch before the seeing the play Chicago. Great restaurant. Little pricey - went for breakfast brunch on Sunday. Had gourmet doughnut $6.00 and crepes 10.99 and my friend had eggs benedict - nice serving and very good for 10.99. She had the homemade Limocello spritzer for $10.00 and also the coffee for drinks. Great service and very nice... More

Been multiple times, really creative, techinically well done but best of all, delicious. Great appetizers and cocktails and in fact the best meal i had there was nothing but appys and several cocktails. The bignets for desert are also superb. And for those home chefs, they have a nice cookbook of some simpler versions of their dishes that are also... More

Joined a couple of friends for brunch. Everything I read about Rioja and award winning chef/owner surpassed all expectations. Delightful staff, comfortable setting, scrumptious food. A Denver Gem!
