We were on a 9 day road trip and this was at the top of my "I can't wait list." We arranged for reservations at 7:15, they have a 15 minute reservation forfeit policy so we did arrive early, maybe even 25 minutes early. The hostesses were not thrilled to see us, I immediately was not thrilled either - this... More

The entire meal was wonderful, but what an amazing (and delicious) breadbasket. Thank goodness none of us are gluten free, because it would have been sad to watch everyone else moan over their bread choices. Cocktails and drink choices were very good. We shared the artisanal cheese plate and it was fantastic--nice selection of cheeses and different pairings than the... More

We took our daughter to Rioja for her birthday and were very pleased! The yogurt braised lamb was fantastic and the tropical cannolis with passion fruit couli were divine!

Larimer Square is literally a block long with festive lights crossing the street from side to side. It's a party here all night long every night of the week. Rioja fits in just right. Food has an Italian flair although the menu is focused on Spanish foods and wine. There is pizza and pasta. We started with black ink pasta... More

On my own in Denver for an early dinner in LoDo. Choose Rioja as I have passed it by many times. Sat at the bar and got some great service and advice about the many things on the menu. Settled for the Halibut Ceviche and Squid Angel Hair Pasta. Both were excellent, tasty and well presented. Although the ceviche at... More

Went here for brunch and had the lamb burger with arugula salad, which I enjoyed a lot. Service was great and the ambiance is both romantic and good for business meals.

We live in the SF Bay Area and have traveled quite a bit, but our meal here was one of the best we've ever had. It's hard to get into so be sure to make a reservation. The service was excellent. They have an extensive wine list as well - ask your server for suggestions.

We put our fate in the hands of our wait person, Brandon, and he led us through an exquisite journey. This is not a tapas bar, this is haute cuisine at its best, rivaling the best restaurant experiences we've ever had. In fact, we place this meal in the top ten among the likes of Per Se in NYC. Each... More
