My sister and I splurged on my mom's 60th birthday with a girls morning to the Brown Palace Brunch. The experience was great overall. We were seated promptly and the wait staff was very very attentive (almost too much at times). My sister often felt they "hovered" a bit too much but I found it charming and added to the... More

We stopped here for an impromptu quick lunch before flying home to NY and boy were we surprised and delighted. This would dazzle in midtown Manhattan by most of the toughest critics. The food, decor, ambience and service were all amazing.

This is one of those places for me that is better thinking about than doing. Better to be able to say I have been to than being ready to go back again. The food was very good. But, like most buffets, it was simply too much. For me, the beauty was lost in the quantity. It was like it was... More

Two business guys catching up on semiretirement life and related events, for 7:30 breakfast: impeccable juice, coffee, French toast, buttermilk pancakes, sides of bacon, everything up to standards of the grand hotel where it is located! Nothing to add!

The service matches the offerings and both are exceptional. As a party of four, we all wanted more than we could possibly manage to consume. Therefore we spent quite a while enjoying our brunch, starting with Eggs Benedict individually made to order. We felt like honored guests and were never rushed in the slightest. Shoot the wad and go for... More

The food is top notch here and so is the service. It is a hotel restaurant so the prices were a little expensive, but I ordered off the "Side Dishes" menu and saved a fortune. I got "One Egg Any Way" which was in reality about three eggs scrambled. I got "Short Stack of Pancakes" which was three, normal sized... More

Ellyngton's is a beautiful dining space, but the coffee is average (it will not satisfy a hard core coffee fanatic) and the grapefruit juice is not fresh squeezed. The omelet was satisfying but nothing spectacular. The breakfast potatoes are hash browns, but are not crispy if that is what you are looking for in hash browns. Still, it was impossible... More
