Post event, tiny beer as chile rellano

This what a dive should be great food, great service in a hole in the wall atmosphere. Beers were cold and wet, and served quick. Chile rellano came in 7 minutes bubbling and cheesey. How can you go wrong!

Brewery Bar II is an institution in Denver, long known for their fiery green chile and excellent chile rellenos. It's been awhile since my last visit, and was surprised how few cars were in the parking lot on a Friday night. I soon found out why... No air conditioning in the front dining room (to be fixed the following Tuesday)... More

This place used to have a great reputation for Mexican food. It is not close to that now. Too bad because it could be really unique. The place appears to need a lot of TLC and a ceiling to floor cleaning. The food is horrible!! I don't think I can emphasize that enough. We ordered chips and salsa which were... More

Went for dinner with some girlfriends, ordered the Mexican Hamburger. I asked the waitress for the burger to be cooked medium-rare. She stammered that it comes medium, I should've known better at that moment. Now mind you I have been to this restaurant before because others absolutely wanted to eat there. I have not been a fan of their food... More

We arrived early in the dinner hour. There were several open tables, so we did not anticipate a long wait. The server dropped off menus, waited about 5 seconds for my wife to decide a drink order, and then went off to take care of other business. Other business proved to be 4 groups that came in (after we were... More

Words can't describe how mouth watering the Brewery Bar II Chile Rellenos with Pork Sauce is. I travel miles out of my way just to have two of these delicious delights. They basically make them with Wanton wrappers and deep fry them and then smoother them with their home made Green Chile Pork sauce. They come out piping hot. Two... More

Just look at the positive reviews and I would say that my experience echoes them. It is just an iconic local treasure. The Green Chili is made fresh every day and does not disappoint. I thank the Lundstrom family for keeping the BB tradition alive and well.

When I visit Denver I always make sure I have time to stop by BBII for 2 Chile rellenos specials smothered in green (chili) with a tiny (24 ounce beer) and usually my friends getting 1/2 green, 1/2 red or "Christmas" . The green chili is the best I have tried in Denver. The service is prompt and friendly. Atmosphere... More

The BB II is close to downtown with great Mexican Food and authentic pork green chili. Prices are reasonable and service has always been good on my many visits. Yup it's an old dive bar in front and parking is tight! If you want fancy and to pay too much this is not your place! If you want great Mexican... More

What looks like a whole in the wall turns out to be an excellent dining experience where you will walk away fuller than you wanted. The wait staff is very attentive and they have the best green chili ever! Excellent place to dine on your lunch break.
