Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.

I had two evening meals there. Both were served quickly and tasted great. The staff were friendly, efficient and the prices just right.

I'm addicted to the Huevos Rancheros! This is just a good old fashion diner with great food. It's a breakfast/lunch favorite for the locals for good reason.

So good we ate here twice on our visit to Denver and our hotel was right next door, so super convenient. Very busy, but it was worth the wait! From scratch cornbeef hash was my favorite and for the Mr was the cornbeef hamburger! The skillets were good too! Another Triple D (foodnetwork's diners, drive-ins & dives) spot to check... More

Had a late breakfast with the family & was after a fresh cooked breakfast! After a short wait was seated at a booth & served by a rather surly waiter who wasn't interested in helping us out with the menu. My daughter ordered kids pancakes which were fabulous and great value, I had poached eggs which were cooked to perfection... More

This place is amazing. From the shakes for grown ups (my favourite "you don't know Jack" JD in a chocolate shake 👍) to the breakfast pancakes. Be warned if you have one meal here, you may not eat again for the rest of the day. The food servings are very big (from an Aussie point of view). I have been... More

Hands down one of the best fried buffalo chicken sandwiches I've ever had! My wife also scarfed down the Sam's No. 3 Chili-Burger and sung its praise! She usually isn't able to finish a plate that size but she cleared it... partially thanks to some day drinking I presume.

Sam's is an awesome place for breakfast. Great food, reasonable prices and fast service. If you leave hungry it's because you didn't eat everything on your plate. Very generous portions. We ate there 3 out of 4 days while in Denver

The service here is really friendly and the food was great, hot and served fast! There were TV's to watch the game and a fun atmosphere. Will return!
