Description: Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.

Your first clue that you've found diner nirvana is when you realize they are making your bloody mary in a bar right in the middle of the tables in the main dining area. Your second clue is a waitress named Brandy, a ten year employee, who takes the time to explain the menu and answer all of your questions, then... More

We traveled to SAMs #3 since we heard it was popular. We went for dinner and it was good food - Clearly a Diner feel - I had a hard time my waiter didn't want to give me a dinner recommendation :(

Just what you would expect. Good tasty comforting food, great atmosphere and good staff. I had the "one of each" which is the Curtis Burger and Coney Dog. It was good. I will return to give breakfast a go...

I had breakfast at this charming diner. I enjoyed a kitchen sink omelet. The pork green chili was awesome. It is a must try! The omelet is large, enough for 2-3 people to eat. My friend ordered the Colorado Buffalo Omelet. His omelet was larger than mine. I've need had ground bison. Though different, it was delicious. If you want... More

For the umpteenth time, I had lunch at Sam's No. 3 with a friend. I've been going here for years which should tell you how much I like it. There's usually a wait at lunch, so go early or late if you can. The place is bright and friendly. It reminds me of a diner I went to as a... More

My wife and I stayed downtown and we had Sam's #3 the next morning and it was awesome. We both had the Eggs Benedict with Spinach, Avocado, and Tomato. I can honestly say it was one of the top 5 breakfasts I have ever had. The potatoes were cooked to perfection also. They even gave us a side of Hollandaise... More

I never miss a chance to have breakfast at Sam's 3. The Yum Yum Benedict was superb! My guest had pancakes and eggs - pancakes to die for! The place is always packed, yet service is stellar. If adventurous, try the green chili sauce - sooo good!

Stopped in for a late brunch. Mimosas were probably the biggest i've ever had in my life. We tried some of the breakfast options smothered in the green chili (which was featured on Diner's drive-in's and dives). Food was pretty good, but should have gone tater tots vs. home fries. Pretty big menu with plenty of lunch options as well.

I went obviously because I had seen it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. A busy spot but great food with huge portions. I was there at dinner, although I wish I could have gone to breakfast one day as well - the menu is just so amazing it was hard to decide one thing to order! The cheese fries were... More

Went in this little diner because it was featured on Diner's, Drive ins and Dives. The menu was overwhelming, like any diner menu, food for everyone. I had what Guy had on the show the green chili burger in a tortilla. I am not going to say it was horrible but I am not going to say it was good... More
