We had the vegetarian combo platter. Good food and great fun. Plus three different choices of Ethiopian beer. The restaurant is small but very busy (this on a Sunday night). But only the owner and one cook, so the service is slow. Worth the wait, but be sure to plan for that in advance.

Nice cultural experience... eating off the same platter to bring people together. However, the food was okay. Could have been much better. Additionally, the furniture needs some updating.

take friends, order lots of different options and enjoy sitting around the table enjoying a communal meal served on top of a communal serving of injeera (traditional ethiopian and eritrean sourdough pancake.) it can be intimidating to jump into ethiopian food head (hands?) first. don't be shy, ask questions and be adventurous!

Humble, cozy restaurant just east of East High School in Denver. Friendly service and amazing food! Restaurant accepts cash only.

small hole in the wall. Great food. Authentic so I'm told. Really enjoyed the coffee afterwards. Inexpensive.

Everything from the lovely staff to the authentic food is perfect. We went with a native Ethiopian student and let her order for us. We had no clue what we were eating but it was so delish, we cannot wait until our next trip to Denver to try some other dishes. Clean, decent prices and a wonderful time all around.

Our first experience with Ethiopian food. We came early and they opened for our group. Our two experienced diners directed us through the selection of foods for our large platter. The hand food method of eating worked better than anticipated and the platter took us through an interesting journey of new tastes. It was surprising how quickly the food disappeared... More

Visited this restaurant as a couple, and thought the food was quite good. The experience was marred, however, by several things that this restaurant could easily fix. Firstly, the arrangement of the menu. Nearly all of the dishes are available, a la carte, on one side of the menu, with vegetarian combinations on the other side. We wanted to have... More

This restaurant was half a block from our house on Fillmore street back when we lived in Denver. The food is authentic Ethiopian and this was the first of many Ethiopian restaurants in Denver. If you've never had Ethiopian food, try it here! Be patient, as Naguzzi, his wife and son and a long time cook from Latin America are... More
