A Carnivores delight.

Try the elk... Food it soooo yummy! Sorry Mr Elk, you tasted divine. Visited tonight on the last night of our holiday and enjoyed the meal and atmosphere a lot. Denver's oldest restaurant, containing many unique artifacts, lots of dead animals adorn the walls from years ago. I think maybe you... read more

Let my start by saying my fiancé and I have eaten at several different resteraunts across the U.S., and leave satisfied the vast majority of the time. For his birthday, I wanted to go somewhere with good food, and a Denver staple. We had a 6 o'clock reservation, however, we arrived 20 minutes early but were seated instantly. We quickly... More

We had an excellent time. Gracious staff, wonderful entertainment and amazing food. We had elk and buffalo as well as beef. Our server was extremely nice and attentive. On a late reservation on a busy Saturday we were made to feel like they had been waiting just for us. Simply great across the board!

We were REALLY looking forward to a wonderful dining experience at the Buckhorn Exchange. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! The service was ATROCIOUS --- Get "customers / diners' in, throw some food at them and MOVE THEM OUT. The owner and staff not only serve Buffalo, they treat customers like a HERD of Buffaloes. Moreover, a $45 dollar Buffalo Prime Beef... More

What a great place to eat! Several famous people, including past Presidents have eaten here. Located away from hustle bustle of downtown. Loved the small feel of the restaurant and the band upstairs was entertaining. Alot of history in the building. Rocky Mountain oysters were a favorite- this was one of the places that offered it in Denver, which is... More

The Buckhorn is the oldest bar in Denver with alcohol license #1 from 1857! I love this place offering buffalo, elk, salmon, quail, game hen, baby back pork ribs, rocky mtn. oysters, rattlesnake and many other fabulous offerings. The ambiance is unbelievable with all 3 floors - much like an old Western days lodge. The Staff are great, and they... More

A colleague and I were in Denver for work and the Buckhorn Exchange was suggested as a dinner locale. First of all the place is out of the way and a bit hard to find. Once you find it, you are greeted with one of the oddest collections of taxidermy animals mounted on the wall that I have ever seen.... More

Ok this place is pricey, so if you are on a budget try to go at lunch. Lunch with no dessert runs about $25 a person. The food was excellent, my wife had the buffalo Reuben, I had the Dutch lunch, my daughter the turkey sandwich and my son had the elk. The food was all amazing and we did... More

Not impressed. My steak was undercooked and tasted horrible. Garlic mashed potatoes weren't very good either. Bean soup was good, though!

Awesome atmosphere, and food. Very family friendly. Our 5 year old loved it. There is a reason they have been in business for over 120 years. If your in Denver, and you like steak you have to stop here!! My only complaint is that I couldn't try everything. We will defiantly be back when we are in town!!!
