The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! The extensive menu and excellent quality and preparation at Hapa is sure to please any sushi fan. There is a large variety of traditional Japanese dishes and creative features in both sushi and non-sushi selections. The traditional miso soup was great. We also enjoyed the sautéed edamame with a sauce...a change from the usual steamed version. My friend and I... More

Same stuff but the prices keep soaring up for no apparent reason. Over the last two years we've literally seen the happy hour prices jump 30%. This place is getting played out, and now with so many new spots coming into Denver, why go to an overpriced happy hour with aloof hipster servers? Jus sayin...

Came here late at 9pm and it was close by. Interior is not really inviting and the floor and tables felt dirty (especially the tables were sticky). Food itself was average. Rolls weren't bad but just some flavor was missing. Especially, the Salmon Sashimi (8 pieces) was bland. Though, presentation was nice and the service was good too. Price for... More

Not been here before but it was lovely. Tap beer and good choice of sushi. I can recommend the sheshimi the yellow fin both raw and seared. The firecracker and more and minds rolls as well as the ruby red.

I have mixed feelings about this review. I arrived near closing time and instead of turning me away the staff graciously showed me to a seat at the bar. They also did not "hurry" me along which I really appreciated. However, the sushi was not very fresh so I can't recommend this place for the food.

Sat in the front dining room area, seems a little small and congested. Not especially hip or fun. Sushi menu had good variety but was average in presentation and freshness, wayy to much mayo on sauced rolls. Cocktails (Easy Tigers) were very good. Gyoza starters we ok. The seaweed salad garnered a couple of thumbs up. The Pakalolo Shrimp entree... More

Had lunch there and enjoyed the food. It was good and the room was very nice, food good not great price was ok but a little high. In fairness heart of DTC is not going to be budget priced. Service was very good. I would go back atmosphere very good.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a sushi bar in Colorado, after all, it's not on the coast (;-) This restaurant is located in a dining hub, alongside places like Ted's. Stone and glass belied the warmth of the hostess and the servers. We enjoyed our ahi tuni in chili sauce and the lobster hand rolls the most. We are... More

If you're going for the sushi, save your money and go somewhere else because it's expensive and not that great. There are tons of other sushi places with much better sushi for the same amount of money. As an avid sushi eater, I do not recommend this place if you're looking for great sushi.

We had lunch at the bar downstairs. It was terrific. One day later we returned for dinner upstairs. The meso was too salty; we returned it. The green tea couldn't be drunk. The waiter did a lot of flirting with female employees, but couldn't get anything right. The manager was so embarrassed, she did not charge us for dinner and... More
