The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.

We frequent Hapa often, it's close to the house. The best options are the rolls and the appetizers. They just don't have a ton of unique options for nigiri. The sashimi is always good as well. It's just the same fish. They rarely have different types of fish, specials like Toro or Scottish... read more

I came in for lunch and didn't have to wait for a table, which was nice. Server was fast and attentive. Atmosphere was nice. I ordered the Monkey Brain and the Negihama Maki, both excellent. Would definitely recommend Hapa for a quick, yummy lunch!

Love the HH here. Such great value and they don't scrimp on portion sizes, either. I love taking people here for HH and the sushi is fab.

After waiting a ridiculous amount of time the waiter finally came to our table...this was just the beginning of the crappiest service I have ever experienced. The food was very good, but the service so bad I would hesitate to ever return again. Example: Midway through the meal I asked for a drink menu - after 15 minutes he still... More

Go at happy hour, the prices are much more reasonable. It gets crowded quickly. The decor is contemporary, and service is efficient if not curt. It's the only place where there are 3 hostesses standing near the entrance looking a little bored. There is outdoor seating, but choose carefully depending on time of year. Sushi is done well, not too... More

Perfect location to eat outside on a pleasant day. Although I let the server know I had a gluten intolerance, I received the wrong food from a different person. The primary server came by shortly after the food was placed on the table and took it away. The manager then came by, apologized and did not charge for my entree.... More

This is a great sushi restaurant with interesting appetizers and an excellent, inexpensive happy hour. The sushi is good, though the crab is imitation. The atmosphere is fun and its even kid friendly with origami activities for the whole family at the table. Cocktails are great.

I was killing time for a show at the Paramount. I knew I didn't have time to go to the Cherry Creek location. *( I lived in Denver for 7 years). I GOOGLE Sushi and guess who has a Location Downtown Denver/ LODO. The place was jumping. AVs game. I love the loft feel. Exposed Brick. Great Happy Hour Specials.... More

Not a connoisseur of sushi but this was by far the best tempua I ever had. Nice setting, good service, my sushi loving family was happy and the happy hour is killer. Will return, great downtown location too.
