Thanks so much Kelli! We work very hard to have delicious (& potent) cocktails served by genuinely welcoming staff, so it is great to hear that we succeeded. If you're in town during the week, happy hour is 3-6 with $1 off a lot of our margs as well as some terrific small plates like Jalapeno Caps and Tropical Guac.... More

While attending a horse show in Denver, the barn I ride with got together and made the trek downtown for an evening at Rio. I say trek because with a Rockies game in town that evening, we parked nearly a mile away and walked. The evening of fun and food was well worth it! Rio is noisy and crowded, and... More

Great Margarities! Great food, nice atmosphere! All dishes I have eaten there have been great. Love the Grande Tostada's.

Met a friend for lunch and even though it was a late lunch, the restaurant was quite crowded and seemed popular. Lots of noise and has a bit of trouble at times getting our waitress' attention. I order the Grilled Steak Toastadas. It has mostly shredded iceburg lettuce, black beans, diced tomatoes on top of a very greasy toastada. There... More

I went in because I saw this place on Drinking Made Easy a few years back. They had great Margaritas and the chips and queso were awesome. I would have sat at the bar all day and chatted with the friendly staff. I went in on a Thursday after lunch and it was not too busy. Great atmosphere and I... More

Food and drinks great, rather loud party atmosphere but we were okay with that. Our server was slow, had to run him down a couple of times, but other than that a great experience

The margs here are delicious. Rumor is there's a three-margarita limit--they sneak up on you! Food was decent but not spectacular. Ambiance was fun for going out with friends.

Dana, thanks so much for taking the time to give us a review! Yes, our Limit 3 margs which we're known for can be quite sneaky. On a future visit, ask your server for menu recommendations & I feel certain we can deliver something spectacular from our scratch kitchen. Personally I recommend our tacos, getting two separate types with your... More

Rio Grande has some awesome margaritas. The atmosphere is load and excited on weekend nights, so it's a great place to celebrate and have fun. The Mexican food is only average though, and if you have kids, I would recommend the Blue Bonnet instead.

Of all the possible dining spots in Denver my host said we have to go to Rio for killer drinks. The first clue of how good the were was the three margarita limit. Holy cow. One did me in but it was so tasty. My dinner was the crab and shrimp enchilada which was out of this world. The outdoor... More

We have been here a few times while in Denver. You almost always need a reservation. It is packed most of the time. That's because they have great food and drinks and a good atmosphere. We will continue to go back.
