Decent food and drinks in Lodo (3.5 stars)

We were disappointed in the food and margaritas. For $8 I was served one guacamole tostado with a single dollop of guacamole. The house margarita was small and lacked much flavor. Of the four entrees ordered the only one that was good was the chimichanga. It was very crowded with a long wait for a table. With so many choices... More

I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointment with your recent visit, although we don't serve chimichangas so I am wondering if you may have confused us with another establishment. If you do visit again, please your server will be happy to make menu recommendations tailored to your exact taste. Our aim is 100% guest satisfaction, so let us know... More

This restaurant has a scenic outdoor area for those wishing to eat or just drink and enjoy being outside in downtown Denver. Went here while in Denver for business and was not disappointed. The margaritas were great, and the food was decent. Go here for the atmosphere.

I'm so excited to hear you enjoyed your time at the Rio in LoDo! Good news for you the next time you're visiting Denver: we are expanding our Patio this season and by April it should be twice as big. Hope to see you soon! More

This place had a rep of being one of the best places in Denver to get a marg and it did not disappoint! Food and service were also good

We visit here regularly. ...especially during Colorado Rockies games so we can vouch on their consistency. Their margaritas are excellent but their food is basic and is definitely not the best Mexican food around Denver. Go here for the margaritas but expect the food to simply cure hunger pains.

Thanks so much for sharing your margarita love! I bet our scratch kitchen could still change your mind about our food though. Next time you're in for cocktails ask your server for some recommendations geared toward your particular taste - or stop by for happy hour when some of our fantastic tacos are just $3! Hope to see you soon. More

The service and atmosphere are the BEST. This restaurant is always a staple for me, anytime I'm in Denver. The flautitas and queso are must-have for appetizers, and pick any burrito for dinner. The margaritas are limited to 3 I think, and they don't "taste" strong, but they are!

We arrived for a late dinner on Thursday night. After being sat at a table with menus and water we waited. There were only 4 of us but our waitress decided to wait us out. Rather than just take our order and serve us, she waited over 20 minutes and than asked us what we wanted. By the time we... More

I will be following up with the staff in question to ensure this never occurs again to any of our valued guests. Should you wish to give us another chance to do better in the future, I am confident you will... More

We ate here on our last day in Denver before leaving for the airport. Obviously lunchtime during weekdays is a very busy time, but we managed to get a table straight away. Everyone else seemed to be drinking marguaritas by the bucket and having a great time :) We both had the lunch special, which is a salad and a... More

We arrived late for our reservation but were seated promptly. We told the waiter we had less than an hour before a show and he took charge. Everything we ordered came fast and delicious. Margaritas were great. Impressive performance considering how busy the restaurant was at 7 on Saturday.
