Two is the Limit - no seriously

They say two margs is the limit here, and everyone thinks they are joking until you push the limit and down your third and have that moment where

The Rio Grande, with it's large patio and famous margarita's is very popular with the under 40's and even more so with the University crowd on weekends. The American style Mexican tacos and enchilada's are okay and taste actually good after a margarita or two. But in fairness to other restaurants, with award winning chefs and varied menu the Rio... Loved this place! Everything we had was tasty, the drinks were great and the service was fantastic. Liked it so much, went back two days later.

As a native Texan, I love TexMex and this place does it well. The food is outstanding, all fresh and well prepared. I have had fajitas and have had enchiladas, both of which were excellent. Their Margarita's are wonderful, all made with premium tequila. Highly recommend!

I've been to this restaurant a number of times when I used to work downtown years ago and have always liked their food and margaritas. Until this past Saturday night, it had been a while since I'd been here. But my wife had a cousin in town from Israel and we wanted to introduce him to Mexican food while downtown... More

Probably the best margaritas and guacamole I have had! Super yummy for sure! The other food we ordered was good as well. The interesting part of the margaritas is that even though they may be stong they do not taste it. I would absolutely go back again.

This place was packed for Sunday brunch/lunch--probably because of the Margaritas! They were darned good. I had a Crab & Shrimp Enchilada, along with a Spinach Enchilada. They were delicious. Even the rice and black beans were delicious--not your usual slop!

It was very sad to go to The Rio Grande. I was expecting great food. As everyone knows from Texas you can't go wrong ordering beef enchiladas. Unfortunately my meet tasted more like soy sauce then meat. On the other hand my wife's flautas were very good. It appears as though the food is not consistent.

Dan, I apologize that our steak enchiladas were not to your liking on your recent visit. Our owner is originally from Texas, so we really take to heart our Texan guest opinions! I've followed up with our kitchen manager to ensure that our marinade recipe is being correctly followed. I'm confident that if you do chose to return on a... More

Very cool atmosphere and friendly staff and good food! Had a great lunch special with half quesadilla and soup or salad for only $8.50 and was more than enough food. Hubby indulged in margs and apps and was totally pleased. The patio was not open as it was snowing but looks like the perfect place for a marg and whatever... More

One of our favorite places to eat in Denver. The chips and salsa are good and they have some great happy hour specials. I split chicken fajitas with my daughter. We got the serving for one and it filled us up. It was a real chunk of chicken, not the chicken mesh you get other places. We will go back.
