After eating here, I'd read an article that this chain was looking to elevate its food to the level of its marguaritas. This clearly has not occurred. I was blown away at how quickly our entrees were served. Our dining companion said it was because the are all pre-made. My only guess is that he is correct. I'd enjoyed their... More

The Rio has great food and margaritas, good service. With indoor and outdoor seating and is located close to the 16th Street mall.

Great food, friendly staff. We had the brunch meal, and was awesome. Very seldom do I get full on a meal, but this one I did. I will recommend this place to everyone.

If you're looking for Tex-Mex, this is as close as you're going to get. Their margaritas are the best I've had so far in Denver as well as the food. I'm from Texas so you can't get much better Tex-Mex than there, but this place was pretty good. I'd recommend.

I believe the Rio Grande is good for all meals but have only experienced the Brunch in Denver and was very pleased! Nice menu selections for all the people from vegetarian to meat eaters, good drinks and nice service. In downtown Denver on the weekend would highly recommend if you like Mexican food.

I feel like our brunch menu is one of our best kept secrets and am so pleased you posted this comment. We serve a variety of breakfast tacos, rellenos, and other yummy items only available for brunch. Plus mimosas and bloody Mary's - the bloody's will knock your socks off! We'll love to see you again the next time you're... More

The food is great, but always have a reservation. We used open table and got right in. They were overwhelmed for a Monday night. Everything on the menu has been good so far and everyone seems to like their margaritas. The prices are very reasonable for Denver and it is not microwave Mexican food that many other places serve. They... More

That is a great suggestion, and thank you for posting a review on your visit to the Rio! Another tip: if Open Table shows no available reservations (we keep some of our capacity for walk ins & phone reservations), try giving us a call at 303.623.1611 to check for further openings. We look forward to seeing you again the next... More

Went here for a drink after hearing the margaritas were so good. No they aren't, they are different, which doesn't mean good. They use apple juice. And the bartender upstairs was a jerk. Don't recommend drinks here. Can't speak about food.

I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at the Rio. I'll absolutely be speaking to the bar staff regarding the service - if you'd like to email me at Denver@riograndemexican.com with the date of your visit I will know who in particular to talk to. We pride ourselves on genuinely warm hospitality, and you definitely did not get... More

We were sitting at Starbucks this afternoon and saw this place down the street. I looked it up on Google and TripAdvisor and thought we'd give it a shot. I'm really glad we did. When we got there the place was packed at 6pm. After a 15 minute wait we got outside patio seating. The atmosphere was awesome. We ordered... More

We had family come in from Florida for a conference downtown, so we met them for dinner then we walked to Coors Field to watch the Rockies play baseball. They had plenty of selections both for food and drink. We each tried something different and were very pleased with our choices. We will be entertaining others here for sure.

Thanks so much Kelli! We work very hard to have delicious (& potent) cocktails served by genuinely welcoming staff, so it is great to hear that we succeeded. If you're in town during the week, happy hour is 3-6 with $1 off a lot of our margs as well as some terrific small plates like Jalapeno Caps and Tropical Guac.... More
