You do not feel you are in Denver, and maybe not even the U.S. There's an outside courtyard and really pleasant interior as well. Also a popular place - a 25 minute wait for one person on a Monday... This was my first time at Domo for dinner. This is not your ordinary Japanese restaurant. . . at least not in the US. Yes there's sushi, teriyaki, and tempura, but served differently and so much more. Be adventurous! All entrees include seven small side dishes of various types. Some with noodles, some with veggies and fish, some with a... More

Returned to eat a Domo after three years. A unique atmosphere, sweet japanese waitresses, food with a wide range of flavors and textures.

The great thing about Domo is that it's one of those hidden gems. It's on the wrong side of the tracks across the street from the projects in a little warehouse building. But when you step inside, it's like stepping into a Kurosawa movie. Rough stone table and stools made from tree stumps are the furniture. Great country Japanese decor... More

Loved this place, the food and decor was pleasant and soothing, the place it set up just like a Japanese Garden, a must attend place. The outside of the building doesn't look anything like the inside, so do not get turned off by the appearance, we thought the same thing, the noodle bowls were huge so make sure you split... More

Domo is a treasure. Serving japanese country-style food in a gorgeously built restaurant decorated with lanterns, sake bottles, even a little zen garden, you feel like you've left Denver and entered another world walking through the doors. I ordered the unagi (grilled eel) ramen bowl as well as a delightful shochu mixed with green tea. Broth, eel and noodles were... More

I have been going to Domo for over 10 years, and it's always suffered from poor service. The food, however, has been without question the second best part of the dining experience, after the awesome atmosphere. After my last visit, however, I may not go back. The main dining area itself felt very stuffy with almost no airflow. In a... More

Domo was on our list to try for several months. Out of seven of us, only one had been before and had great experiences therefore the bar was set pretty high - especially since he is a trained chef and has traveled the world, he knows good food. During dinner, I rated the food as average with a few of... More

Don't let the outside of the building fool you. It looks on one side, likes dumpy warehouse. But inside, ahhh, inside... hidden gems. First the interior recreates a rustic Japanese farmhouse and then there are the authentic Japanese gardens and museum. The food is classic Japanese soul food, read northern Japanese style with great broths, udon, and don buri. Feast... More

5/25/2015 From the sign outside the building, you would have expected you were about to have a five star experience. Hardly so....... First of all, we called to ask if children were okay. Getting a yes, we headed there. When we arrived we were seated inside while requesting outside. We were told that they didn't want children running around due... More
