Our first visit and it has left a lasting impression. It felt as if we were instantly transported from Denver to Japan, with an open, rustic restaurant with beautiful gardens and an amazing menu. It's industrial-location defies all expectation once you've stepped inside. We went for lunch and enjoyed a Shochu cocktail with muddled grapefruit; the menu is traditional country... More

If you're expecting PF Changs or Pei Wei this is not the place for you. If you want someone to roll your fresh fish and rice into tidy little rolls for you so you can dip them in soy sauce, again not for you. If you want to experience more authentic food in a pleasant environment, you will enjoy Domo.... More

After visiting the Denver Aquarium, we went to the Domo Restaurant for lunch. Our group composed of 3 adults and 2 kids ( 5 and 7 years old) were surprised to see its authentic Japanese decorations and to hear Japanese greetings (from the kitchen) when we were being seated at our table. HOUSE RULES: As some TA reviewers had commented... More

My family insisted that we go to Domo because their food is great. We got there about 40 minutes before closing time. The host received us with many discouraging comments: we do not serve sushi... we said we knew and it was fine..then she said we do not have sashimi either...again we knew...then she said some items of the menu... We visited Domo for dinner this evening. Our party consisted of 4 adults & 7 children ranging from 10 years of age to 8 months of age. Domo does not take reservations but we were able to be seated within 15 minutes. While we were waiting, we were given a set of lengthy rules for children by which to abide.... More

Don't go if you're expecting to just have sushi and sake. This place is very different than your average sushi restaurant. Authentic with a beautiful japanese garden. Good for special occasions if you are an adventurous eater.

Food here is great! I have eaten here many times. Everything is delicious! Donburi is my favorite. The lunch prices are super reasonable and the gardens are beautiful!

We all associate Japanese food with sushi. This is country style Japanese. You can get sushi, but the rest of the menu is unique (at least in Denver), and delicious. The service is marvelous. The decor calls to mind a modest home in the countryside, as if it grew out of the ground and around the trees. Outside, the garden... More

This was one of the most beautifully-decorated Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. The food was authentic, and more like real Japanese food. The menu was a little confusing, but the staff helped us easily navigate what we wanted. There is beautiful seating outdoors as well, in a Japanese Garden that was gorgeous. The food was fantastic. The staff was... More

I heard so much about this place, and frankly, we were a bit disappointed. The atmosphere is great, but the food was a bit plain for me. I understand it is country style food, but it just was not that flavorful.
