We ate guacamole, homemade chips and tacos on a winter's evening. The blue corn beef tacos were amazing. We loved the chunky quacamole and the margaritas were great. This is fourth time we have been and food has been great every time. They are in process of relaunching their website; in winter they are open for lunch every day but... More

Cannot honestly think of one positive aspect of this lunch. Lack of service. Cold greasy food for all 3 of us. Slow. Left hungry. Only writing this to save anyone considering this place the trouble.

Julia's was outstanding in every respect. Above all, the food. I had the "Tres Hermanas," An enchilada plate. I usually steer clear on enchiladas because they are never as good as I could get at mom's. These were AMAZING. My friend had a super yummy butternut squash, served on a bed of frijoles and green chile. Excellent service, ambiance and... More

Julia Blackbird's New Mexican Cafe offers a darling atmosphere - and great, authentic food - in the heart of the hip Highlands neighborhood. The pecan stuffed acorn squash is a perfect fall meal.

This is one of my favorite Denver restaurants. I have eaten here several times in the past few years and have never been disappointed. The decor of the restaurant is colorful and pleasant. We were warmly greeted as we entered the building, and the service was top notch. My favorite entrees are the enchiladas and the Navajo stew. We completed... More

We had a delightful lunch at Julia Blackbird's! Food was excellent and Julia was a treasure. We were fortunate to have great weather and sat out on the patio and soaked in the ambiance. Julia was a treasure trove of information about restaurant options in New Mexico so we'll have the benefit of this visit throughout our tour of the... More

12 years ago I read this great restaurant review for Julia Blackbird's and my husband and I took off for a date. The restaurant was packed the service and the food had an energy and passion behind it.I remember the back of the menu talking about Julia and her vision and passion for cooking. We told friends they had to... More

We ate here 4 years ago and the food was pretty good. Ate here again last week and what a change. The food tasted like it had been frozen and micro waved. Tortillas tasted like cardboard. Only one waitress for the whole place. Service was slow. Too bad, nice location.

EXCELLENT food!.... Very 'cute' decor interior and exterior...Extremely cold inside, EVEN by the 'fireplace'.... VERY expensive for the portion of food.... We were the only ones in the place and waited and waited for each step of our experience there (ie: initial welcome; drinks; taking of our order; receiving food etc....). Their food is TOP NOTCH and very authentic New... More

I'll start with the positive. The location is fantastic and the decor is charming...from there it's downhill. What I suspect is store-bought food gets microwave (seriously) and served to you for $10-$15 an entree is just embarrassing. Service was non-existent and seemed annoyed by having to work. It's a shame as most businesses in this area, just due to the... More
