Old School Dining Experience

Avenue Grill has the atmosphere of an old (more upscale) diner. The dinner menu has a good variety and the cocktail list is fun and creative. The locations is part of the old but coming back new neighborhood.

This was our first time here and my husband and I really enjoyed it. Loved the neighborhood feel and felt very welcome from out check in with the hostess to the service from our waitress. The food was fabulous and the portion size was very generous. The salad with salmon was one of my favorites and I could have had... More

A friend and I recently had lunch at The Avenue Grill on 17th ave. My friend had been before, this was a new experience for me. I was very pleased with my lunch, the presentation, and the taste. Our service was very good,- not hovering. I would recommend a repeat visit. The restaurant looks upscale but the food is reasonably... More

It was our first time going to Avenue Grlll last month and we met some friends there who made the reservations for 4. The restaurant and ambiance were really nice and so was the service. One negative was how small the table for 4 was but we managed. We had all drinks and our friends ordered some pot stickers and... More

The restaurant had a very elegant vibe. However, some of the food that was served, chicken, in particular, looked the frozen breasts you can get at Sam's Club. The Ahi was fabulous, the pork chop was a bit tough, filet mignon was perfect for me. My husband has food allergies and when he inquired about how a side dish was... More

We had six and a baby for a 5:30 pm dinner after Kinky Boots. Service great and everyone had a good time. Food ranged from adequate to very good depending on what was ordered. When the house wine was off, a new bottle was opened. I suggest dumping opened wine at night and always going fresh-especially with red. Since this... More

This used to be my go-to restaurant for birthdays, a great lunch or special occasion dinner. But over the years, the food quality and service has gone downhill. I keep trying to make it successful, but they keep failing. The waitstaff doesn't know the menu and don't bring the elevated level of service I expect from an establishment such as... More

A real restaurant, not a diner. Linen cloths, real cutlery and glassware, superb friendly service and great food. I am deducting a star for the TV over the bar. Try the mussels in blue cheese sauce, the roast duck, the pork chop. All delicious. 2 blocks from the Warwick Hotel going away from the back door.

I can't say anything but positives about this place! We had a lovely evening, great food, fantastic service from Eric (hope I remembered correctly!). We had the fig & prosciutto flatbread and the chicken & spinach potstickers as appetizers and the slow-cooked bison and the pork chop entrees. All were incredible. I did save room for dessert. Our waiter recommended... More
