This place is awesome. Delicious down home cookin'. I definitely recommend trying the BBQ pork, mac and cheese and peach cobbler. Cash only. ....If there is a line, who cares. Just wait, it's worth it

Soul food run by two white guys? And it's epically amazing? In Denver? In 5 Points? Yep. I've been to a few of the soul food places in the area, and by far, Tom's is WAY better. Quality wise, gigantic portion wise, price was, convenience wise, atmosphere wise, everything wise. I agree with Bishoo-------had a bad morning? Go to Tom's!... More

The best Comfort food in town. Menu is relatively small but always varied. Just make a few things exceptionally well is the mantra here. From the jalapeño corn bread to the fried chicken & collards everything is filling and flavorsome. Main course two sides and a fountain drink all served up with a smile from 11:30am until they are sold... More

Tom's Home Cookin is hands down my favourite place to grab lunch in Denver, and it's clear to see I'm not alone, as the line snakes out the door and down the street! The menu is simple, but packed full of flavour - a selection of entrees and sides, and a simple ordering system. I absolutely love the meatloaf, and... More

The food is made fresh daily. It is great southern style cooking. Try the Mac and Cheese, fried chicken and collard greens.

Talk about a hole in the wall. Tom's is a great place to get your fix for home cooking. There are daily specials and dishes but I belive the fried chicken is an every day staple...which is a good thing because you HAVE to get the fried chicken. The chicken has a very light coating and is crunchy on the... More

I'm a southern girl..recently transplanted in Denver...hoping to find some good soul food. My husband and I had lunch at Tom's after reading all the good reviews. Horrible is an understatement...everything was salted very heavily. Dry meatloaf, dry crumbly cornbread, inedible green beans...even their iced tea had an off flavor. I really hope that Denver residents don't think this is... More

This place is great and reminds me of the places I have been in Arkansas & Mississippi. I recommend the peach cobbler and macaroni & cheese. Some of the best in Denver. Sweet tea you can only find in the South. A couple things to keep in mind though- cash only, limited seating and lunch only during the week. Bonuses-... More

I am from Chicago and will not eat at a chain when I'm on vacation. My husband and I prefer to find individually owned authentic local cuisine. What a great find in Tom's!!! Not fancy, very down-home cooking. GREAT southern cooking!! The day we went, I had barbeque pork, candied yams, cornbread, collard greens, lemon icebox pie and peach cobbler.... More
