How I missed this gem in all of the years (14) that it has been there I will never know. Perhaps I was put off by the location on Colfax and Grape. My mom recently went to Solera for her birthday and encouraged us to celebrate our anniversary there. We loved it! We sat outside in their lovely garden. The... More

This is our local little restaurant that we go to when we just want to have a quick bite (or even a not quick bite). We love their happy hour with their tapas menu that allows you to get smaller plates of their regular dinner menu. The wine selection is always great. Goose (the owner) really knows how to pick... I met some friends here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely wine selection and the small plate options. We shared quite a few options, including the cheese plate (gouda, tallegio, blue), house marinated olives, thai style calamari (the small was plenty for 3 of us), salt cod fritters (not as good as they looked), lox flatbread (absolutely... I search my phone for a place to eat near the Denver Museum of Science and Natural History and came up with Solera. They have both dinners and tapas plates. We opted for tapas and had the Manila clams, cod fritters, Tomato Toast and butterleaf salad. We also shared some cheeses (Machego and Delice Monsire (a great double cream from... More

Duck was good. Calamari wasn't. Clams couldn't have been smaller. Everything else seemed very salty. Service could have been better, but I liked the ambiance. Overall it was too expensive.

We received a warm welcome from "Goose", the owner of Solera when he heard we has never visited his restaurant before. The atmosphere in this restaurant was so welcoming. Our time was shirt so we only has time for tapas, the Farmers Board. Our server gave us amazing suggestions. We will definitely be back.

If you are looking for a menu with a wide variety of surprising flavors, this is the place for you. The chef's board selections have many interesting meats and cheeses. The pork belly sliders melt in your mouth. The mussels are sublime. The duck breast was the best I have ever had. I don't think you can possibly make a... More

The restaurant offered 12 different tapas. We ordered 8 to share with 4 people, more than enough food! My favorite was the ricotta dumplings. Spouse liked the calamari best. Bread was served with a reduced balsamic vinegar that was tasty! We visit Denver about once a year. We'll go back,

The waitress was a snob, the food was overpriced and took forever to be presented. We continually had to ask for refills on drinks and bread.

Other reviewers have nailed this: a somewhat off-putting exterior, in a neighborhood where you wouldn't expect fine dining, but a pleasant interior (even when the much-praised patio wasn't open because of rain). Service was exceptional: servers (not sure if one might have been the owner) were very well-informed about the food and the wine choices, prompt with attention without being... More
