Great Dining - A Rare Find in a Forrest of Drive-ins and Taco Joints

Fine dining with a Spanish touch. The menu does not try to cover every possible taste. Every thing on the menu is top notch. The wait-staff is prompt, efficient and very helpful, no pressure to turn tables or up-order. A little loud on weekends when full but not prohibitively so. Reservations... read more

Nice cozy patio, with heaters, so comfortable. Service was slow, and food portions adequate. I had salmon, and it was tasty. The menu is limited and special. So, if you go in for the snails, calamari, etc, this place is for you. It is a bit spendy, so be prepared for that.

The hostess seemed a bit slow. She told us our table would be ready in 5 minutes and we waited over an hour. We had a reservation! We finally got a table and the waiter was nice but the food took forever too! I asked for my desert to go and they boxed up ice cream for me??? Wth

I find myself returning to this neighborhood place over and over again because the wine is excellent, the food is delicious, and the service is superb. My favorites include the cheese selections, the tuna tartare, and the calamari. And don't forget the banana bread pudding for dessert. Miles the bartender is a delight and always very friendly and helpful.

We went to Solera last night for our anniversary and were more than happy with the choice. We took a table in the bar as the tables are set further apart than in the dining room and the bartender was our waiter and overall host for a great evening. He was extremely helpful and most attentive to our wants and... More

We haven't been to Solera for many months because of the distance from our home, until we met some friends for dinner there last week. The food and the service were as good as we remembered. The paella is a very good dish and the warm kale salad was a great starter. Two people in our party had the scallops... More

How I missed this gem in all of the years (14) that it has been there I will never know. Perhaps I was put off by the location on Colfax and Grape. My mom recently went to Solera for her birthday and encouraged us to celebrate our anniversary there. We loved it! We sat outside in their lovely garden. The... More

This is our local little restaurant that we go to when we just want to have a quick bite (or even a not quick bite). We love their happy hour with their tapas menu that allows you to get smaller plates of their regular dinner menu. The wine selection is always great. Goose (the owner) really knows how to pick... I met some friends here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely wine selection and the small plate options. We shared quite a few options, including the cheese plate (gouda, tallegio, blue), house marinated olives, thai style calamari (the small was plenty for 3 of us), salt cod fritters (not as good as they looked), lox flatbread (absolutely... I search my phone for a place to eat near the Denver Museum of Science and Natural History and came up with Solera. They have both dinners and tapas plates. We opted for tapas and had the Manila clams, cod fritters, Tomato Toast and butterleaf salad. We also shared some cheeses (Machego and Delice Monsire (a great double cream from... More
