Denver Pub Jeopardy

A: The Elm

Q: What is...

A) an unlikely haven on East Colfax with an uptown vibe?
B) a place for an inventive, quick meal on your lunch break?
C) a perfect place to meet your friends after work for an amazing happy hour?
D) the best place to meet for the game...or to talk trash?

If you answered A,B,C and/or D, congratulations! You are officially a regular of The Elm. Welcome.

This is, indeed, your unexpected neighborhood pub on East Colfax. You've been looking for us, and we are happy to serve you.

History
The Elm could not have been a more welcome addition to the Park Hill community when it opened its doors in April of 2004. You can't likely put into words what you feel when you walk through the door – so please, allow us. We offer a great sense of comfort from the classic wood bar, sweet retro fixtures throughout, 12 exceptional tap handles and a vibe straight out of the 1930s.

Ambiance
Our location's historied days as a drugstore and soda fountain give The Elm the feel of a classic retro gin mill where you might expect to see the cast of Mad Men sipping martinis. Brian, your general manager, is a home grown Red Sox fan, so you Beantown folks, this is your "Cheers"! We even have our very own Norm slinging whiskey your way! But Sox fan or not, The Elm's great happy hour specials, friendly staff and exciting menu will appease even the sorriest of baseball fans (ahem, Yankees supporters).

We are your headquarters for every Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, and Texas Christian University game. Join us at The Elm!

Yummy

The service was definitely less than stellar but the burgers were pretty tasty. The chips were really good too.

Selected this bar because it caters to Boston fans. Wouldn't go back...service was poor, had their chowder and it was more like a potato casserole with bacon on top, and their greek salad was good in terms of ingredients but dressing was lousy.

Was greeted like family when we walked in. Wait staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the Paddy Rolls and the wings, both the agave-sirracha and the buffalo. The agave-sirracha was sweet with a slight heat, the buffalo was traditional but seasoned exceptionally well. The Paddy Rolls were delectable in both sauces.

Enjoy their hamburgers and a beer. A bit loud since it is a sports bar and the crowd can get rowdy. We go there about every 3 or 4 months is all

While passing through Denver, we wanted to catch a New England Patriots game. This was the place to watch the game! We walked in and it was full of patriots fans! We got one of the last tables and ordered chicken nachos, which were very good but could've been cooked a little more. The chicken tenders her also good but... More

We have passed The Elm dozens of times and it always seemed busy and the smells were great. Had a chance to stop in for lunch and try the burger special (Burger Monday). It was cooked to order and flavorful. Service was great. I'd go back again!

The art deco decor makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. The food is consistently good with ample portion sizes served by friendly staff. I would recommend the burger, fish and chips and the reuben sandwich though anything on the menu is well executed. This is one of my favorite places to eat and hangout with friends. If you find yourself... More

I really liked my first try at this place. Great neighborhood sports bar with a straightforward, delicious, and reasonably priced menu. Great sandwiches, burgers, and fries. Nice specials and friendly wait staff. Laid back but fun vibe. Can't wait to come back!

This place has the best burger I've ever eaten. The Elm is a great sports bar with a great atmosphere and excellent food. The service was very good. This is the place everyone wishes was their neighborhood bar.

My wife and I were in Denver and wanted to watch the Red Sox and Patriots games with other Boston fans. We quickly found The Elm thanks to TripAdvisor reviews. It was almost like watching the game at a local pub back home. One minor difference, all the wait staff and patrons pronounce their "Rs" improperly when they speak. Despite... More
