Great French cuisine with an American twist

Outstanding ingredients cooked to perfection. Best meal we've ever eaten in the States. The foie gras was excellent. The lamb cutlets tender and flavoursome and much more generous than the ones we are used to in Italy. The duck breast was lightly smoked and was melt-in-the-mouth. Have no hesitation... read more

This is a small restaurant with two seatings nightly. We had been there about 20 years ago and it has remained basically the same, which is very good because the cuisine and the service are excellent today just as they were 20 years ago.

As many have said before, this is a truly great dining experience! You will definitely need a reservation. The staff is amazing friendly and helpful - the perfect blend of meeting every need but not hovering or annoying. They knew the dishes and wines perfectly. I would highly recommend the Duck Confit appetizer - best I've ever had! The Rack... More

I knew in advance (from friends) that it was going to be a small, very small restaurant! So don't be dismayed upon entering directly into one of the two small dining rooms! It is immaculate! White tablecloths, ambient lighting, great music and very professional and friendly wait staff! In a word…..the Food was DELICIOUS! We had Elk and Sea Bass…….both... More

Top of class dining experience. Unlike some "refined" restaurants, however, the portions are NOT skimpy.

I was a little worried about visiting a high end restaurant in a little ski town with my six year old daughter but this was a great experience. The waiter was very accommodating in preparing something my six-year old would eat. She thought the dessert soufflé was the best thing she had eaten. My mom had the rack of lamb... More

Starched white tablecloths, cool background jazz, intimate space with perhaps two or three other tables, Dan-the-man who knows everything about each precious dish(and a SawxPhan), and Jason-the-magician creating the best food in Colorado...what is there not to like. Whenever we go to Crested Butte, this place is a must. And if you like surprises, check out his kitchen - WW... More

I'm a little confused as to why people rave so much about this place. The food is good, but our experience was not amazing. Perhaps it is the difficulty of getting a reservation that raises its profile? I did enjoy the amuse bouche with the (kobe or wagyu) beef. It almost convinced us to order the beef for the main.... Had dinner with friends here last weekend. Lets start with noting that the restaurant is very small and they don't open the door even one minute early. Really recommend the bar&pub just behind the restaurant for waiting. Nice atmospheric place to grab a beer. Back to the restaurant, the food was great, we tried a selection across the menu and... Soupcon is an experience unlike any other in Crested Butte. The restaurant is extremely small and you need reservations. The chef is truly amazing and the menu is gourmet. If you're foodies, you MUST go to Soupcon when in Crested Butte, but make sure you book reservations well in advance, if possible.
