The Ginger Cafe on Elk Avenue, Crested Butte, CO.

Two very important aspects of a good skiing holiday; of course the skiing, but it's also the apres-ski and that means food! Crested Butte has this in abundance and I don't think you will go wrong if you choose to visit the Ginger Cafe. The restaurant is smallish so be sure to make a reservation... read more

Our family went here with reservations which I recommend. I am gluten free, my spouse is vegetarian, teen son is hungry, and 12 year old daughter is picky. This sweet, little place fill the bill for all of us. The food was good and the service was too. The menu provided lots of options for all of us. It was... More

We went into this place on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We ordered the special which was salmon spring rolls. We also ordered some crab ran goons. The spring roll was great with fresh salmon and lots of vegetables. The crab ran goons were just right, crispy on the outside with lots of crab in the... More

Unique spin on thai that we loved! We went back because we enjoyed it so much the first time. The duck salad is AMAZING. The duck was cooked perfectly, and the salad had an fantastic combination of greens/vegetables/cheese/dressing. I know we will be back again for this dish alone. Also, the pad thai was unique and delicious! I like spicy... More

many gluten free options and great spices used. The spring rolls are great. Some of the main dishes used to be amazing but it seems lately they are making the dishes less spicy/less flavorful and I am not sure why. Twice I asked for more spice and sauce and they gave me some more.

I visited here with my family for lunch - I had the chicken pad Thai. The portion size was great, and it tasted terrific. The crabcakes for an appetizer were good, as were the Vietnamese Spring Rolls (although these were a lot smaller than I had hoped). The wait for the food was a bit longer than I expected, however.... I went to Ginger Cafe for lunch one snowy afternoon by myself. It was great! I treated myself to a very yummy vodka drink (Moscow Mule?). I ordered the wontons as an appetizer and the chicken pad thai. Both were great! The wait staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice.

We had a tasty lunch with attentive service. I'd love to go back again for dinner next time I'm in Crested Butte.

The problem with the Ginger Cafe is that once you eat there...you're gonna have a hard time eating anywhere else in Crested Butte. This was my third visit..and once again, it was outstanding. On the previous two visits I had the Pad Thai, as I LOVE Thai food...this visit, although hesitant (as the Pad Thai is THAT good)...I stepped out... More

When we arrived in Crested Butte we asked around for recommendations on restaurants and everyone said "Ginger Cafe" We typically do not eat a lot of Thai food, but like to try the local favorites and we were NOT disappointed! The food there was the best. 2 in our party had the Pad Thai and I had the Ginger fried... More
