We always make Slogar our family dinner when visiting CB. The service is great and the food is good and filling after a long day in the snow.

From the home style service to your table it's all awesome. The home made cottage cheese, tomatoe chutney and relishes are spectacular. Honey butter and fresh biscuts are warm and inviting. The fired chicken with freshly made sides will have you asking for more. You feel like you stepped back in time to Crested Butte miner history. Beautiful place to... More

This is our family's favorite and we always go there for Christmas dinner. Also, it is a tradition in the summer for Cousins Camp. It isn't on our diet, so we can't go as often as we would like. Food is served family style. Though beef is available, skillet fried chicken is the reason to go. Very nice relish tray,... More

Slogar is a family style ONLY restaurant open 5pm to 9. NO Breakfast or Lunch! It is family style with one entrée - chicken. They sometimes offer ribeye steak (but not on the night we were there).Great historically decorated (with real history). An actual parlour! Small separate rooms with individual tables and the meal is served family style. Starts with... More

We made reservations based on other reviews, but I don't think we even needed them. We ended up getting there an hour early and they seated us right away (it was a week night though). The food is good. You get cottage cheese, coleslaw, bread, and tomato chutney. The tomato chutney was really good on the cottage cheese and coleslaw.... More

A family favorite. Have been coming with family since I was a teenager, maybe earlier. The food is home style and their specialty fried chicken is to die for. As well as the mashed potatoes and cream style corn. Originally a tavern where minors stopped after a h as Rd days work in the mines on the bench behind. And... More

My wife and I went here and absolutely loved it. The food is served family style and the staff make sure you get completely full by asking if you want refills on anything throughout the meal. The staff was all very friendly and proficient. The tomato chutney was delicious and went very well with the cottage cheese and coleslaw they... More

Make reservations!! Went on a Friday night and the only problem that we experienced here is that we didn't have a reservation and the hostess did give a disgusted look and tone almost as if we were an inconvenience. In fact a party of 2 which was our party size also without a reservation came in after us and was... More

If you like fried chicken at its best served up homestyle this is YOUR place. Undoubtedly the best fried chicken I've tasted period. But even better, the chutney/cottage cheese app is totally superb. There is no real menu, but you can sub steak for the chicken. There is a full bar, wine list is good, beer list is lacking. Great... More
