Slogar has a giant chicken in the lobby that my 11 month old grandson loved. The relish tray, cole slaw and tomato chutney was already on the table before we sat down. Delicious, all you can eat fried chicken served on a huge platter along with bowls of mashed potatoes, creamed corn, biscuits and gravy. The waitress offered more chicken... More

Go hungry and with no regard for being "healthy" in what you are eating. May be the best fried chicken next to my grandmother's that i have ever had and I grew up in the south. Located in a historic building off the main path in Crested Butte. Will not miss it on my next trip!

Oh my goodness. I am so glad we ate here while on Vacation. For the health conscious Remember you are on Vacation and everything in moderation is ok. Now for the food, the starters were great and somewhat unexpected. I loved the tomato chutney in the cottage cheese. It was delicous as well as the spiced pears!!! The ckicken was... More

Slogar serves high fat, high cholesterol food guaranteed to clog your arteries. If this is of no concern to you, you have found your place to eat. If you have any interest in your heart, brain and overall health you'll find much better places to eat in Crested Butte than Slogar. To your health!

If you don't like chicken or aren't hungry, don't go to Slogar's. This place has great chicken, potatoes to die for, and the sides were great. The amount of food seemed endless. We had 10 people and the staff could not have been better. Brought more food, biscuits, kept water and drink glasses filled, and even allowed each of us... More

Chicken as okay, not the best I have had. But not bad. Sides were very good. The service was terrible. Many empty glasses with dissinterested wait staff. Took forever to pay and get on our way. It isn't cheap but there is a lot of food.

My friends used to work here several years ago. Food starts with coleslaw, pickles, a sweet tomato chutney and cottage cheese. The trick is to mix it all together, and you get a sweet, crunchy and saltiness all together. But don't eat too much, because the biscuits are unlimited also and very moist and buttery. The strawberry preserves and honey... More

For around 25 years my family has enjoyed the greatness of Slogar's. I have brought family after family with me. There is not that much to say other than if you love fried chicken ( I love the chutney, veggie platter to start with) mash potatoes, corn, etc.. Gotta go! Must make reservation! I miss the greatness of Slogar!
