Best dinner for family style high quality food!

Wonderful chicken and sides. The chutney as an appetizer is awesome on the cole slaw and the cottage cheese. I know it sounds weird but it's really good! The entire meal was amazing, chicken, potatoes, biscuits, cream corn and the best jam! The wait was about 45 minutes to get a table on a Wednesday night. If you can get... More

Sure. The food was greasy and fattening. But it was good. It was the kind of food a weary skiier/traveler looks forward to after a long day. The restaurant wasn't what I expected. From the pictures, I expected greasy food and sloppy accommodations. I was surprised to see a fancy, adult-style restaurant with appropriate servers and oversized portions. Of course,... More

A few people have compared this place to White Fence Farm in the Denver area. This is better. The chicken was juicier, the sides were better. The whole family loved it.

Great service and food was exceptional. We had a very large party of 22 people and they easily accomodated us (with reservations) and servied us very well!

We are from Denver and make a bi-annual pilgrimage to White Fence Farm in Lakewood for their family style platters of chicken and all-u-can-eat sides. I'm happy to report that Slogars is just as good, if not better! It's just what the doctor ordered after a long day of skiing and when you are in the mood for comfort food.... More

Okay, it is fried chicken served family style on table with glass, linens and china. Very efficient and good staff. Appetizers looked very pedestrian, but combination of flavors was a real culinary treat. Okay, again, this is Fried Chicken. Can't say any special seasoning, just cooked perfectly. Then top off with scoop of ice cream. They turned the entire experience... More

Once again, we visited Crested Butte for snowboarding and to make our pilgrimage to Slogars. If you haven't been, you're missing out. Family style chicken dinner (or steak if you prefer) with all the trimmings. As much as you can put away, or stuff in your ski jacket to take back to the hotel. Don't bother, they will sack it... Best Fried Chicken and fixins ! Our meal was excellent and the cottage cheese, pear slices, relish, pickles and homemade biscuits went excellent with the homemade fried chicken. Ice cream served for dessert !

I love this place! Cozy, comfortable, wonderful food. A little pricey but very, very, very filling- expect a Thanksgiving-style food coma afterward, but totally worth it. I only wish they served a few more veggie options to balance the meal better. I highly recommend this unique restaurant to anyone traveling to CB.
