A Crested Butte Classic

Year after year this is always my first stop for dinner in the Butte. Good foods, great prices, family friendly, good bar, fair prices and always great service.

We started with chips and Salsa which was good. We also had house margaritas which were fair and we shared Chicken and Steak Fajitas, which were tasty. All the staff was attentive.

There were 8 people in our party. The food was excellent as well as the staff. We were very well taken care of and will definitely go back.

Wife and I went there one night on a recent ski vacation. Remembered it from the last time we were in Crested Butte a decade or so ago. It's aged well. The happy hour $7.50 margarita pints are made with top shelf ingredients and a killer deal for the price. Not bulked up with crappy margarita mix, ours were mostly... More

Great food, friendly service, and decent prices. What more could you ask for? Their chips and salsa are great! There are nightly specials that are fun, but also eating al a cart is tasty too. You will not be disappointed. And ask for Laura as your server, she is the best!

My family and I got there at the opening time, 5pm, and was made to wait outside for 10 extra minutes in -5 F while the staff took their sweet time opening the door and letting people in. When we finally got inside we were given the worst table in the middle of the room in everyone's way even though... More

I know it's not typical to place fruit cobbler on the menu at a Mexican reasturant, but people--save room for this awesome dish. This will be difficult to do because Donita's has huge portions, delicious margaritas and some of the tastiest chips and salsa around. But the cobbler...the hot cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream makes me swoon.... More

U just never know. Sometimes Wonderful and sometimes horrible.... Slow service and always slow bringing food out. Used to be long lines to get in but no more. We still go once in a while when we need a Mexican food fix and hope for the best. Used to be a crested butte classic. I'd say it's a tired now.

As you enter Donita's, you'll be greeted warmly by two local owners and sisters, Kay and Heli. They are always sincerely interested in the people who come to their restaurant, asking where they're from, welcoming them back...the food is excellent homemade Mexican fare, with daily specials and at very reasonable prices! Well worth a visit!!
