Description: The all-new Bacchanale is a modest Italian restaurant from the team that launched django’s restaurant at the base of Mt. Crested Butte in 2008. Our fresh and light menu will re-introduce you to simple flavors, colorful salads, artisan flatbreads and handmade specialties. Our comfortable atmosphere will entice you to come every day. Join us nightly for dinner from 5-10pm, and pick your favorite spot: at the bar, the community tables, along the banquette benches, in our private dining rooms, or on the balcony overlooking it all. During the summer, bistro seating on Elk Avenue let's you watch the action, enjoy the sunshine and surf the web, all while enjoying a Campari & soda. At 7am every morning, we're up again to serve you organic coffee, fresh house-made pastries, and specialty breakfast items.

Bacchanale is owned by the same couple as D'Jango up on the mountain. Bacchanale is in downtown CB on Elk, near 2nd St. The prices are much lower than D'Jango, but the concept is the same. Small plates, great for sharing, and a nice selection of wines, available in small carafes, so you can trydifferent ones with different plates. We... More

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful meal with great service and great atmosphere. We were greeted by the owner, Chris, who took us to our table and gave us complimentary champagne for our celebration. The servers were lovely and the food was fantastic! The prices were much less than I would have... More

My wife and I visited tonight while in Crested Butte. The first surprise is that no bread was offered at all. Not even the breadsticks that another reviewer mentioned. Nothing. They were out of 2 of their more popular appetizers, the calamari and the eggplant pillows. We chose the melon and prosciutto. It was okay. Not bad, but nothing special... More

Hubby has visited Crested Butte all his life and I for the past 10 years. Bacchanale has always been our go-to restaurant... we even had our wedding dinner/reception here back in '09. With layoffs and busy schedules, we hadn't been able to visit for the past 2 years. Imagine our surprise this past weekend... we were SO excited to visit... More

Besides the really good food, I just had to rave about the margs here. These are more like authentic 'coin style' margs, and they make them strong. It's crazy to me that the Secret Stash got voted best marg in CB because they are horrible. well maybe if you like a really sugary drink with hardly any tequila then go... More

My wife and I had dinner at Bacchanale with friends last week. Although we didn't have reservations, we were able to be seated immediately at 7:00pm on a weekend. Our server was friendly and courteous, but not very informative as we've come to expect in Crested Butte. I had the Lamb Papparelle which was tasty, though not memorable. My wife... More

Went for dinner during the CB high season. Was crowded but we got a table without reservations. The food was excellent but a little pricey...as everything else in CB. The thing that stood out the most was the meatballs...top notch! Everyone was very happy with their meal. The owner was very friendly and stopped by the table several times to... More

Ownership has changed since our last visit and so has the menu. I called to make reservations and got an answering machine. The recording said they were closed on Mondays, but reservations could be made online. Using Open Table I was able to make a reservation for a Monday evening. After stopping by to confirm the reservation I was told... More

Although we have been to CB nearly 10 times for both summer and winter fun and tried many restaurants, this was our first time to Bacchanale. We won't wait so long for a return visit! The artichoke app was wonderful and all 5 of us enjoyed our entrees. Daughter's boyfriend (a former chef) had soft shelled crab and said it... More

Excellent food, good wine list, and lot's of variety. Dippy service - they really need training and more oxygen! Everything was good - scallops and Brussel sprouts were terrific and the duck breast was no good.
