Great rum drinks

Never liked sweet rum so I was skeptical about a free taste. The rum is seasoned in bourbon barrels and the taste is a cross between bourbon and a dry rum. Delicious. They have many creative drinks made with two different rums.

What can I say? I love free booze and this little friendly business gives you two complimentary shots of rum when dining or drinking with them. Our server explained the rum situation, and how the distillery functions. Great selection of food and cocktails, nice location on the main strip in downtown Crested Butte. Making rum in the middle of nowhere... More

This place distills their own rums, which are very good. Had an excellent daiquiri and mojito. Didn't try the food.

My sister and I decided to stop in and take a look around. We'd already eaten dinner elsewhere but had noticed that it was packed when we had walked by earlier (and it still was!). We stood in the bar and sampled both kinds of their rum that is distilled upstairs (tours available during the day). The bartender was very... More

We love to go to Montanya's! We spend a good deal of time in Crested Butte in the summer and about a week in the winter and Montanya's is always a fun place to go for great rum cocktails and fabulous small plate appetizers. They frequently have live music at night and that only adds to the fun. My favorite... More

Love this little place. Yes, it's about the rum they create, which is delicious and wonderful to see how the do it. (Go upstairs and view the distelliery it's so cool!) If you aren't into rum and have the kids along you're also in luck. Food is fresh and amazing. Upstairs there is a small little kid area where you... More

I am normally a wino, but the menu posted outside the restaurant had some intriguing small plates. As they only serve rum drinks, made from one of their own two locally distilled rums, I decided to "give it a go", and I was not disappointed! Both the small plates and the cocktails were way above average. The service was friendly... More

We popped in to dodge a rain shower and couldn't believe our luck. The crafted rum drinks were unique and amazingly flavorful. And not short on the rum either! We also tried an appetizer which was so good I asked if they'd share the recipe. The waitor hand-wrote the recipe out for me. Wow. You must try the vegetable tempura... More

Loved the live music and drinks. We got to learn about how they made the rum and this place is unlike any other place we have been to.
