Old Croatian has closed and Paradise Cafe has moved to the Forest Queen Hotel. Paradise was moved out of its long time location in the Company Store building. Look for "the Baggins" breakfast dish to be restored to the Forest Queen..

It was cold, we had colds, and so wanted some comfort food. It was comfort food, but high concept and well done. We just happened by on the street and liked the smells coming out. Liked the food, liked the old hotel atmosphere, and liked the friendly and helpful owners, who were also staff. Very cool.

Nice atmosphere outside, but limited menu. The food was pretty average, but they do have a pretty good wine list.

Sitting on the patio next to a river listening to a man playing old cowboy trail music. Chicken sandwich with bacon, pesto spread, rosted red peppers. Homemade French fries, and purple cabbage slaw with pecans and figs. Desert was a strawberry tart with jalapeño. Amazing atmosphere and good food at a good price.

With a name like the Old Croatian, and Croatian ownership, we were hoping for something a little more exotic. The food was fine and reasonably priced. And we could get in without reservations on a Saturday night.

Unique flavors. We went here for appetizers before meeting up with friends - had the lamb skewers and squash blossoms stuffed with goat cheese....yum is all I have to say.

We had looked online and the website for this restaurant listed Snitzel, Spatzle, Pierogies, Goulash and Struedel. None of these items were on the menu so I guess these are just available in winter. The website notes that a "summer menu" is available but it would have been nice to know that the summer menu is very different from menu... More

What a surprise, fantastic dinner. We stopped in one night for live music and drinks. Had a great time. Talked to the bartender (who I would later discover is the proprietor) and said they had a french trained culinary chef and made a great dinner. I was a little skeptical but thought what do I have to lose in trying.... More
