We had one of our most memorable dinners of the year this past weekend at The Sunflower. From the fabulous service and the great energy from the kitchen, to the desserts that we could barely fit into our full bellies but kept shoveling in anyway, down to the perfectly paired wines and the live acoustic music, this was an incredible... Really thought the food was awesome, original and fresh. Loved the fig and Black Forest ham pressed sandwich with truffle oil. Will be craving that for some time. Fried pickles were really good too. Back patio was really nice. But 3 sandwiches, fried pickles (substituted these for the sides that came with two if our sandwiches) tap waters and one... More

We sat outdoors on a beautiful day, and they brought the unch we had ordered inside. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. My husband raved about the tuna sandwich, which contained some unusual flavorful things such as black olives and capers.

We came a bit late and got a nice table in the rear courtyard. The baccalao was superb, fried crispy but covered with a tasty sauce. The skewered steak was locally sourced and delicious, with a mild horseradish sauce. The soup, leek and corn, was subtle and delicious. For nibbles, we had chorizo (rich and delicious) and small pickled peppers... More

Enjoyed dinner in third week of July. Food is tasty and inventive. Portions are small, so don't under-order the number of plates shared among you. The octopus plate was my favorite. Ambience is warm and inviting, although sound level a bit high. As I write, I couldn't get the web site to load, never good. We enjoyed a lovely French... More

Had a variety of food from the small plates and apps menu. Gourmet cheese plate appetizer, beet salad and Tuscan been soup were all superb. Tartare also great. Cozy back patio setting was really nice. A favorite lunch place is also a new fave dinner place. Nice affordable wine list. Personalized service by owners a plus!

This has always been a lovely deli. Unfortunately, you can no longer buy sandwiches for your hikes! They now have contracted with a chef who arrives every afternoon and serves dinner - very good and fresh.

Our party of 5 chose Sunflower for dinner. It's location,in the center of the main street of Crested Butte, makes it a conveinant dining choice ! We relied on the owners and chef to help us make choices from the menu. Samples of numerous items were brought and all were delicious. The smoked trout while a small portion, was very good.I like... This restaurant has the best sandwiches in town bar none. The salads are also excellent. We had lunch here every day while visiting Crested Butte. Be prepared for crowds and a long wait after you order.

Three of us dined at the Sunflower last evening and what amazing meals they were! The staff really knows how to recommend their specialty meals of the evening - and it's a good thing, too, because the menu is often updated depending on availability of veggies, meats, etc. The Sunflower is SMALL - MAKE A RESERVATION!! I love small restaurants... More
