We live in a nearby town and visit Kip's frequently. We were disappointed in the change to family seating on the patio reminded us of a cafeteria. Everything was so bad from our rude server to the quality of the food and drinks. The pilewski used to be so good now it is filled with a pulled pork type barbecue... More

Locals in Pagosa Springs had recommended we check our their sister restaurant in that town ... We got the chance to stop here after a hike in Phoenix Basin. The building is a funky thrown together collection of decks, small bars, a game room, and booths. The food selection was authentic Mexican and good burgers.

I travel to South Fork, Colorado several times a year and no trip is complete with out a stop at Kips in Creede. The margaritas are awesome! This is the closest thing to Tex-Mex in the state of Colorado. I usually get the THE PILEWSKI which is a version of cheese enchiladas that rival anything I've ever had in south Texas.... More

One of the waitstaff (the lady in the yellow jacket) stole a cellphone off our table while placing advertisement on table. She slipped it into her pocket and when she was confronted, she claimed she thought it was hers. Really? When does an employee leave their cell phone on an occupied table? NEVER! Watched a young girl that was following... More

Kips is a friendly and funky eatery in Creede, CO. It specializes in burgers. You can order off the menu or create your own with a check sheet. We ate in the back room, a combination laundomat/ game room. They also have a coin operated car wash. Our grandsons played fussball while waiting for our food. Our family of six... More

The second we walked inside, we were welcomed loudly by the manager. This was a friendly and interesting place to have an outdoor meal on a cool Creede afternoon. Our food was very good, but it can be a bit awkward sitting at a large table with strangers (depending on who you get). I would definitely go back.

After a long motorcycle ride from Telluride by way of Gallup, N.M., over a challenging 4WD mountain pass in the rain, we were exhausted and VERY hungry. My boyfriend had been looking forward to eating at Kip's in Creede for DAYS and couldn't wait to get there. We ordered dinner, and then decided to add the "pork shank appetizers" on... More

If you want Mexican food, I wouldn't bother. Tried two of the signature taco meals. Ingredients were fresh and good, but seasoning was very bland. We are used to blow-you-away fajita flavor in tacos. On the good side, the green chile bowl was quite good, Santa Fe style.

It seemed more like a bar than we wanted, but sitting outside was perfect. The tacos were generous portions; we could have had 2 instead of 3 apiece. Good guacamole too. Service was friendly, quick, and cheerful. A very casual place but fits perfectly into the town of Creede. We had a second lunch there on a very cool drizzly... More
