A family favorite for many years

My wife cannot visit Denver without stopping at El Jardin for a chicharones burrito. El Jardin is the essence of Denver Mexican food. Tasty chilies spicy but not hot for the sake of hot. Freshly prepared, not canned refried beans cooked in shortening. Quality meats and cheeses and sour... read more

While I love Armadillos, when it comes to my favorite Mexican food, El Jardin wins. Their Sangrias are YUM and so is their green chile. I always get it on their chicken or sea food enchiladas! I can't say enough about how great this place is and it's family owned!!

This Commerce City landmark features good Mexican food. The quality has always been consistent. Portions are ample and the prices are comparable to other establishments in the area. It can get a bit noisy, but it is set up to handle large groups and family tables. It is popular, especially on the famous Thursday Night Margarita night. Really good margaritas... More

Why do you go to a restaurant? Even though ambiance and service are important (both attributes are great here) it comes down to the food. After ditching an earlier Denver Mexican restaurant I headed out to El Jardin the next day. It's a short drive from the Quebec Street/I 70 interchange and worth the drive. Great food, friendly people, reasonable... More

We go to El Jardin probably once a month at least. The owner is good about sending out postcard coupons that are funny and contain a good deal. The place is located in Commerce City - about 15 minutes from my house here in Stapleton - just a trip up Quebec and across 72nd. The restaurant is large, and now... More

Living in Santa Fe, NM, I know good mexican food. This is about average, only more expensive than most places. The sauces taste straight out of a can, and the steak, well....tasted more like venison than beef, and was well overcooked. The wiat staff was ok. My soda was not refilled once during the entire dinner, and the extra napkins... More

Whenever we visit Denver we always stop here. Always seems to be crowded, but they seated us in about 15 minutes. Food is great and service is good

While reading this please keep in mind this review is for a specific visit on 4/18/2014. We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed ourselves, today was different. I typically gauge a Mexican restaurant by the quality of their Michelada, todays was horrible and most of the meal hit that target. My crispy Relleno was stringy, hard to cut,... More

First time here. Had the chimichanga...thinking this was going to be delicious authentic Mexican food. No bueno. The red sauce on it tasted like that nasty can stuff from the grocery store, green chili was bad and the chicken in the chimichanga was dried out. So if you want authentic Mexican food you will not find it here.

We never think to go much outside of Denver but did find the drive to Commerce City worthwhile for this dining experience. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The menu has a a nice variety of Mexican cuisine. It's difficult to find good Enchiladas that don't taste like the frozen dinner ones. I enjoyed the Enchiladas here.
