This place is super quirky and small with an eclectic menu. We sampled several bruschetta, including the BLT, the Brie and Apple and the smoked salmon. They were all good but the salmon was exceptional. They smoke it in house. I highly recommend it. For my lunch I ordered the chicken bahn mi. It was good as sandwiches go but... More

Family of 4 in town on vacation... came here because of location to hotel and the reviews on TA. We have a teen and small one who is a picky eater and were concerned about everyone being happy... but with help from the waitress we had a great meal. Started with the marinated goat cheese jar - wow! Even the... More

Located in a residential area away from the main drag but not difficult to find. Good food and service, nice outdoor seating. At first we thought it might be more of a bar/drinking place but they have a good menu (and a full bar). My husband and I had a heavy meal earlier in the day so found some lighter... More

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little place off the beaten path and in a more residential area. Their food is fresh and creative and the lemon ginger tea is so refreshing and cleansing! We had dinner here, but the place was prepping for some late night music, which I'm sure would have been great. The atmosphere is perfect... More

My BF and I have been to Shuga's on a couple of occasions now. I really like the "off-the-beaten-path" feel of this small, local gem. It is farther south on Tejon - more in a residential section, so don't blink or you'll pass right by. Being from the east coast, it feels like one of those waterside eatery places but... More

First time there we stopped in and the place was packed, we grabbed the only open table and we're quickly greeted and taken care of. We got some delicious cocktails (I had the raccoon shrub martini which was amazing, also the beet martini) and then a quick lunch, I had Brazilian shrimp soup which was perfectly balanced between light and... We had seen such good reviews and the menu looked awesome. We always like to try new restaurants that aren't chains when we travel. We went by twice during our stay and both times the sign said open but it was closed with chairs on top of the tables. It had a small front patio and a larger one in... More

I make sure to eat at Shuga's whenever I am in town. The lavender lemonade is delicious and I have never been disappointed with the food. The indoors seating can be a bit noisy and cramped at times, but it is definitely worth it. The outside seating is lovely when the weather is right. I've had several soups here that... More

We were told to try this place and were SO glad for the recommendation. We got there between lunch and dinner so it was quiet. We sat on the patio and enjoyed one of the most pleasant eating experiences! Great service, reasonable prices and unique delicious food. Yes, the cafe sampler was amazing! Will return!

Shuga's does everything right, and you won't be disappointed. Portions are not large, but the food is excellent. I love the sandwiches and always get a side of Brazilian Coconut Soup. The drinks are great also and there is a vibrant late evening/night scene. A must stop in Colorado Springs.
