Berkshire pork chop and trout were both great. Good side items and nice beet salad. Service was good, not exceptional but did not detract.

We enjoyed the food and drinks at the Tavern several times during our stay at the Broadmoor. The menu was great and the food was better

The tavern has been around nearly 100 years so they have perfected their dishes. Little pricey but well worth it! We hard sea island goat cheese tart for an appetizer, my husband had French onion soup in cast iron crock, I had the kale salad with butternut squash and avocado with an orange vinegarette and ours were pasta with butternut... As you can tell, the reviews are rather spotty, so it clearly depends on many variables, as you'd expect. So beware! We had eaten several times at the Broadmoor over the last 10 years (Penrose Room, Charles Court, etc.). But as the Charles Court is closed, we thought we'd try the Tavern. They bragged about the remodeled Garden, etc. Well,... More

We ate here on two nights during our stay. There is a main seating area and bar, plus a gorgeous enclosed patio area. Be sure to see the beautiful, waterfall-like chandelier in the enclosed patio, even if you don't eat there! Food was very good; steak, trout, pasta and desserts. Excellent service!

We've been here many times, it is a special treat and we always come here and we're bringing special friend. The tavern is wonderful, food wonderful, the service wonderful, but the host today at The Tavern was one of the most unpleasant people I have ever seen in a dining establishment. He is grouchy and his behavior affected all of... More

Colorado is not the most vegetarian friendly state but I found a nice selection of delicious vegetarian fares to choose from at La Tavern. We had lunch in Le Jardine "the garden room", the atmosphere is lovely and the staff was courteous. We were able to get a table right away with no problem without reservations, but it seems this... The Tavern is a delightful restaurant, but the setting is TOO dark for me. If you enjoy light, asked to be seated in their Le Jardin (The Garden) section. It's incredibly relaxing, and the lighting superb. I think they fill up quickly back there, so I highly recommend you make reservations. The Tavern has live music on certain nights and... More
