For over 40 years this family-owned German Restaurant on the south side of Colorado Springs has served over a million happy customers. The restaurant invites guests to dine in one of its several rooms decorated with artifacts from Europe. With strolling musicians on Friday and Saturday nights, three blazing fireplaces in winter, and an authentic "Biergarten" in summer, you are sure to enter into another world as a guest at Edelweiss. The authentic menu with a variety of Old World German dishes includes Schnitzel, Bratwurst, and Sauerbraten, with newer-age items such as Flammekuchen and Maultaschen. For those not so adventurous palates Edelweiss offers other Continental fare such as Chicken Cordon Bleu, Filet Tournedos, or Fresh Salmon Filet. Imported German Beers and Wines can be ordered to compliment any of the flavorful dishes. The European-trained Swiss Pastry Chef bakes all of the desserts from scratch, so save room for one of the rich Tortes or pastries, or take some to go.

Best food I have had in a long time and wonderful atmosphere and neighborhood. I wanted to go back and eat there everyday after just eating there once. I had the two bratwurst which was delicious and a slice of the rum torte.

Very nice dinner and great service. Very friendly staff. My daughter had the Jaegerschnitzel and her girlfriend had the Wienerschnitzel they were very good. My wife had the chicken Cordon Bleu which isn't really German, but she really liked it.

Visited the Edelweiss again in this work trip. Always enjoy stopping by this place anytime I'm in town. The German beer selection is fantastic and the menu will please any lover of authentic German food. There's not a bad meal on the menu and the filet is my favorite.

Ten of us went for dinner. We had a GREAT time over an excellent dinner. From Saurebranten to jaeger schnitzel, everything was great. The meat & cheese appetizer plate was a great start. The desserts were all great, but I was particularly impressed with the bread pudding. Typically, bread pudding is just sort of wet, chewey bread. This deliscious stuff... More

I had the sauerbraten and my wife had the jaegerschnitzel. Both were excellent. The waitress was right there whenever we were ready but did not rush us.

Christiana/Tina was the rudest waitress I've ever seen. Very unfortunate that the owners are aware of her 'severe style' and allow her to ruin the entire experience for everyone. We won't be going back.

After living in Germany for three years, I found this place to be very similar to what I had experienced there. Even the waitresses spoke German (I got to refresh my skills with them). The food was very good and what you would expect from a local restaurant in any German town. It was well-seasoned and the menu options provided... More

The food here is absolutely delicious. The customer service has always been fantastic every time I have gone here. I have even brought several friends and family to try it out when they visit the Springs. The atmosphere is very authentic feeling. Sometimes they even have live German music being played, depending on what day you go. I can't stress... More

EXCELLENT Jäger Schnitzel! The best that I have personal tried, the German beer choice is also excellent and authentic. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would return any time I'm in Colorado Springs....and will.
