The owner of the establishment personally served us. She shared stories and was so pround if the food she was cooked. The food was outstanding. And it felt like eating at family's.

If you've never had Ethiopian food, and want the experience, this is the place! The food is great, the portions are large, and the owner/chef Maya is very hospitable. The food is clearly made with love and care. It was delicious! Be ready to spend some money though.

We saw the wonderful reviews for this place and thought we had to try it. Neither my husband nor I had ever tried Ethiopian food before. The place was busy - we did not have a reservation and, fortunately, got there just before the dinner rush! I ordered a meat/vegetable combo with lamb, and my husband got a beef dish.... More

Local. Friendly. Pride in what's produced and in service. Unique food that I've never had anywhere else. Filling but I feel healthy after eating there instead of weighed down.

I've eaten here before and always come away with an appreciation of Maya and her staff. The food is flavorful and unique. I've tasted nearly a half-dozen things on the menu, and all of them are amazing. I'm usually too cheap to buy drinks at a restaurant, but I always get the rose-water lemonade or orange-water iced tea. Totally worth... More

Maya, the owner, is so inviting. She hugged us as we entered. A good friend and patron had suggested we stop by. BEST suggestion of my life. We ordered sautéed shrimp over aged rice AND chicken pita. So delicious, I tilted my plate and licked the juices. Just as though I were in the privacy of my own kitchen. You... More

Ethiopian food is unusual in middle America, and this restaurant does it extremely well. The family and the service were also friendly, gracious, and hospitable. A great culinary and cultural treat!
