I don't know why Maya changed her restaurant Uchenna to a coffee & tea house unless it's because she got knocked off the top spot in the restaurant category & couldn't handle not being numero uno anymore! I hope Maya realizes she's losing good tourist business by miscategorizing her establishment. Very perplexing! This is a RESTAURANT with unique Ethiopian &... More

I have had the pleasure of eating Ethiopian food in Ethiopia and several other restaurants, and this was the best I've ever had. I've also eaten in some of the finest restaurants and the food at Uchenna tops them as well. First, you absolutely must try the Ethiopian coffee as it will something you have never had before even if... More

Found after coming off Pikes Peak. We googled veg restaurant. Lucky us. The outside put us off a bit. But once inside, it was extremely warm and cozy. Food was amazing. Service friendly and on point.

My family and I love the food here. It's a different kind of dining experience and that's one reason why we love it. The service is usually very slow but worth the wait. They do not serve alcohol here.

My family and I dined here a few weeks ago for the first time and we can't wait to visit again when we are back in Colorado Springs. My husband and I had the vegan combo plate with 3 sauces with the injera bread of course. It was delicious, a real treat. My daughter ordered a lamb dish which was... More

I've never had Ethiopian food before but in saying that the dining experience seemed authentic. The chef knows how to make the meal delicious! The service was a little slow at first but then had a good recovery. The server also explained to us how to properly eat the food which added tremendously to the experience. The food takes a... I love visiting this restaurant. The food is so delicious and the service staff is always kind. For those that are not familiar with the Ethiopian food experience, you eat it with your hands. It's always a great time when I go there with my husband a the plates are very affordable. The only thing that made me sad is... More

I love this restaurant! I have eaten there now a number of times, and it has exceeded my expectations every time! Everything I have tried on the menu has been recommend worthy and the lamb is so perfectly spiced that I keep coming back again and again!
