The term "Greasy Spoon" is not a bad thing. This is great American diner fare!

I have had two meals here and each one is worthy of comment. Each time was lunch. The first was a simple hamburger. A cheeseburger to be exact. First off, I want prepared for the size of this beast. This is a big burger! HUGE to be more descriptive. The patty is enormous. The bun is... read more

This restaurant is a local legend and I finally got to eat there. Big servings, typical American fare and daily specials. Nor children's menu, but plenty of kid friendly choices like PB&J. Friendly, efficient service in a hurry. Burgers are wonderful.

We went for brunch before hiking. We both ordered the chicken fried steak, which was awesome. Came with home fries, two eggs, and choice of toast. Steak had country white gravy. Very reasonable price of $7.95!

I so miss eating here since I moved back to Texas 9yrs ago. If I ever get back to the Springs this is the first place I will eat at. Love their hamburgers and fries and the open face turkey sandwich with those great mashed potatoes

a homemade breakfast or lunch is waiting for you at Sheldon's luncheonette. eggs and biscuits and gravy tasted like grandma made it. the burger I had was real beef and real home made French fries. I always come here when I visit my family in Colorado Springs because I love their breakfast, especially the biscuits and gravy which is hard to find in New York. The prices are very reasonable and the servers are friendly and know their regular customers as soon as they walk in.

Couldn't not go here again.. the service is good, the food is good and you'll not leave hungry. It's just a great homestyle cooked meal.. Good value, food, ease of getting to and folks are friendly. I could go on and on but it's basically a good place to eat... give them a try..

The place was filled with locals for lunch. The restaurant was a small old fashion restaurant. It was like going back in time where the owner and staff appreciated you being there. The food was excellent and a great portion. It was so much food that we could not clean our plates. The staff treated you like it was old... More

This is a great place. After the last time we were here we said that we have to make it point of coming here. It took about two and a half years before we got back there today, and we asked ourselves, "why don't we come here more often". This is an old school diner type luncheonette. Everything is cooked... Located in Colorado Springs, just off Highway 24 and a half mile west of I-25 S 8th street, Sheldon's luncheonette has exemplary service and food that is consistently excellent, but not gourmet fancy. Like pancakes, try their plate size whopper. It's incredible how the cook can get it cooked so evenly every time. Eggs, any way you like them, green... More
