Very good southwestern menu with and bit of a twist. We had the chicken with wild berry mole and chicken and avocado tacos. Both dishes were very good.

Tableside guacamole is excellent and the freshly made margaritas--what else do you need for a good Mexican restaurant?

Braised Callicrate Pork Belly "Carnitas" are unbelievably good!! But if that doesn't sound good to you, they have plenty of other fare that will be sure to please you. Personally, I've never had a bad meal there and I've been there plenty. Creative menu and always great service!!

We stopped in to this fun restaurant on a whim, and we were so happy with our visit. The food was excellent, and the staff was attentive and helpful. The carne asada plate was excellent, and we would also recommend the duck taquitos, and definitely the flan. Everything we saw was presented beautifully, and tasted great. My favorite thing about... Wonderful food and service. I go here about once a month for lunch and it is wonderful. Their pico is fantastic. Salads are great - and huge. I also love the chicken enchiladas. They are so tasty and not too spicey. Nice atmosphere too.

A colleague introduced me to this establishment after a cold walk around the Garden of the Gods. We entered a warm ambience accented by southwest design. To be immediately served with tortilla chips with a warm and flavoursome sun-dried tomato salsa was very welcomed. The menu choices were not overly extensive in choice, but were diverse & creative. I eventually... More

Wonderful atmosphere in this very popular restaurant. Service is good. The food is Mexican with a difference and we were delighted the meal was smaller but certainly more than enough for us. Full bar service available.

This is a pretty respectable restaurant. I don't eat out much so I am choosy about where I go for a special occasion. I took an out-of-town associate here and we both enjoyed our meal. The salsa is exceptional - both spicy and 'warm' - really good. They provided unlimited chips and salsa, which went well with their special margarita... More

I liked this place for lunch, service was great and fast. The food is not traditional, but rather kind of california cuisine thrown into traditional mexican food. I thought the menu was kind of limited, no burritos. The pork enchiladas were good, as were the refried black beans. I might go back, but would rather go to a traditional mexican... More

Sonterra has always been a dependable downtown dinner spot and we have been regulars there since it changed from Primitivo many years ago. This was the one memorable time they totally missed the mark. Unfortunately it was for New Year's Eve dinner. We had reservations and were promptly seated by the hostess when we arrived. Unfortunately our server, Brent, had... More
