Picked this as i'd never heard of it and wanted to try it. Had the steak, and was cooked beautifully. Friendly staff, good food and reasonable price.

Wish I remembered his name but receipt shows waiter 315. The food was good. Liked the senior menu with smaller portions. I had pork chop with baked sweet potato. Everything seasoned well and good solid food. The wait staff was attentive but not annoying. Only thing I did not like was the limited time grasshopper pie. A frozen pie lacking... More

After a long day in the Colorado Springs area, our family group of 20 adults and kids went to the Black Eyed Pea on Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs. We were quickly seated and special requests for young children were handled without any delay. We all ordered different items and they were thoughtful enough to bring the... More

Food was excellent. Lots of choices under $12. They were out of the daily special, Chicken and Dumplings, which my wife ordered but we did arrive a little late.

This restaurant serves southern-style dishes. If you do not like southern food, this is not the place for you. But if you do, it is some great food! I had the buffalo style chicken strips as a starter with a pot roast, some beans and rice, and their fried okra. The service was lacking at first, but they turned around... More

Stayed at Hotel next door today and tried to eat here. Seated by hostess and after about 20 minutes was never recognized by any server. Had to leave and go next door to Applebee's. Obviously there is no management at this location.

That's three out of three! I LOVE their cornbread. This is only the second time we've frequented this restaurant the first time being in Texas. Nice tomato basil soup, broccoli rice casserole and shrimp on skewers. The ice cream sundae did us in. Quick refills on the drinks. An all around good experience.

The food here was just average. I asked the waitress what was popular and good. She said the chicken fried steak and barbecue. I went with the 2/3 rack ribs and they were dry and nothing to drool over. In fact, the ribs were poor. My dining partner ordered the chicken fried steak and he was unimpressed. The "black eyed... I visited this location on New Year's Day 2014, craving black-eyed peas.... to my surprise, the resturaunt advertises a free side of black-eyed peas on NY Day...."served family style". So I didn't bother to order another side of black-eyed peas...because I knew I was already getting a side of them. The serving that came was about two tablespoons...maybe only two... More
