My husband and I visited Fujiyama last weekend. We are sushi lovers and usually visit another restaurant in town, but we were downtown and decided to give Fujiyama a try. The ambience was very nice--they had a good jazz trio playing and the atmosphere was lively. We enjoyed the miso soup with generous portions of seaweed and tofu. Our issue... More

This is a good sushi restaurant, if not a bit too downtown trendy, the service is a bit lacking. The food is really good and the fish is ALWAYS fresh. The Seaweed salad is amazing and they have a huge selection of sushi with generous portions. The overall experience is really good.

It's sushi, how could it be so difficult to make it Gluten Free? We tried to eat here on a Thursday evening at 6 PM, only 3 other couples in the resturant when we sat down. The server was at the table quickly. There was cold air blowing from the heating vent and she moved us to another table, which... More

Such a bad experience, never again. My best girlfriend and I went for lunch there today to try it out. I had been a couple times before but been unimpressed, but everyone kept raving about it, so thought we should give it a try. They were very busy on a Labor Day lunch and we took that as a good... This was not good sushi. Mostly rice. Tuna rolls had a sliver of tuna in the middle of a sea of rice. The tuna did not taste fresh either.

Huge rolls yes, but they are mostly rice - the oldest sushi trick in the book. The presentation was also good. Beer was cold and the place was rocking. Nothing to really complain about other than I've had way better. If you're in the mood - go, but it won't rock your sushi world.

The restaurant is located on Tejon Street in central downtown, There is parking adjacent for cars although being new, I biked into town to join a party of four. There are outdoor seating areas suitable mainly for pairs, and ample, comfortable seating inside. We were served by two different waiters who presented a slightly 'off-tempo' service, maybe they were overworked?... More

We are back in the area ...remembered the good food here. We weren't disappointed. This time we got there after 6 ...free street parking if you can find it but the restaurant was packed. However the hostess said we could be seated immediately if we sat at the sushi bar. We did that and got to order just as quickly.... More
