King's Chef

My daughter and I stopped by there for a late lunch for no other reason than we were hungry and we saw it. The place is kind of retro and not at all glamorous. But it is clean, the food is very, very good and the portions HUGE!!! I had had some health problems so had some very stringent food... read more

Resident of Colorado springs I used to go to King's Chef when it was just a counter with a few stools. I remember sloppy, greasy burgers and unbelievably hot homemade chili if you wanted it. Last week was the first time i visted the Bijou location. We waited some 35 mintues to sit down, when we were told it would... More

I recently had their Huevos Kin Chef and it was maybe the best breakfast that I have ever had. The place also has a wonderful vibe to it. There is no place like it.

If you are looking for a place to eat after a night of drinking this is the place. The green chili is fantastic. The portions are enormous. We were there on a Sunday morning recently and it was pretty crowded. We had a party of 8 but only had to wait about 10 minutes. They move people through pretty well.... More

Excellent service....awesome food...usually a happy crowd and a little wait but it goes quickly. We love to walk here after church on Sunday or when browsing downtown Saturday morning.... The food really rocks here....you won't be disappointed.

On the map with Food Network and famous for their green chili, this is an ultimate hungry mans breakfast diner. The portions are huge and the food is fresh. If you can tackle the Thing, which could feed a small family, or any plate on the menu, you become an honorary member of the clean plate club! They make all... More

This is the 2nd time we've been here. I highly recommend you go in the AM, not close to their closing time. Their food is Awesome!!!!! But the day we went, we arrived at 3:40PM and was immediately informed "last call in 10 min" as I had the forks and napkins quickly placed in my hands. The open sign was... More

There was a SCREW in the meat!! We went here for Easter brunch with our family. My husband took a bite of his burger and a giant screw was in it!! He almost broke his tooth. They were making him a new plate and as it was on the counter we went to get cash from the atm. The chef... More

I had a good experience here. Our waitress took great care of us. This restaurant is not very vegan/vegetarian friendly; most of their meals have meat or animal by products. I'm on a strict fast for Lent and the only thing I could order was a salad (minus meat, cheese and dressing). Although because I didn't have the extras they... More

I used to love the Pablo Picasso, which is amazing because I hate lunch meat; it's just glorious. However, I can no longer eat wheat, so I've been avoiding eating here until my husband dragged me. They do actually have quite a good selection of gluten free items, however, and when I called, they assured me that everything that is... More
