From NYC and enjoyed a delicious meal here. Jana is the owner and this is a family owned business. Not many tables, but it is cozy, and the food is prepared from the heart. A worthwhile stop for excellent southwestern style food. For desert try the coconut cake, it is out of this world!

This place is small and quay, but the food is great. The avocado pork burrito is fabulous. The cheese enchiladas were also very good.

Very small and often hard to find a seat. Mexican food preparation is a family affair. Their Avocado Pork Burrito is hard to beat.

Heard this place was the best and the closest to New Mexican style cuisine so I had to give it a try since I am from NM. Unfortunately, it's not even close to what I expected but it was ok. I have NEVER heard of an avocado burrito before (don't be confused with a Carne Adovado burrito) it's different and... More

I am from Texas and new to the area, always looking for good Mexican food. El Taco Rey is by far the best I've had in a very long time! The avocado pork burrito is to die for as well as the tres leches coconut cake. The beans, rice and salsa are also delicious. You can tell the food is... More

Well it was a bit of a let down for me I guess I just expected awesome from reading all the great reviews and just got average mexican food..... Good but not... More

This is one little place that's so good you won't mind the wait. My enchiladas were so tasty that from the first bite til the last my taste buds were jumping with delight. The service was exceptional, as well. They were extremely busy but the cashier was friendly and not hurried. I'll be back!!!

Get there early...line forms for the greatest burritos in town! If you like it spicy, get the smothered one...you won't regret it. Amazing!

We've heard of El Taco Rey for a year and finally made it. Now I'm upset it took so long to get there. Yum! From the moment you walk into this small joint, you feel like you're part of the family. I had the avocado pork burrito smothered in green chile and it was out of this world! My wife... More

This was my first visit and it will soon become a favorite. Friends had told me how great it was, I just hadn't tried it until recently. It was so yummy!
