We chose the Penrose Room for an anniversary celebration. Our party selected the seven-course chef’s choice meal. Two people were concerned about the menu selections, but the chef was very accommodating of preferences and ingredient intolerances. Some of the courses included: butternut squash soup with roasted hazelnuts, Maryland blue crab bisque (awesome), salmon, Colorado striped bass, sweetbreads, fromage selection, panna... More

The food, while very good, was not the best I've ever had. Service was good, too, but a little stuffy and the waitstaff seemed occupied by a couple of large groups. We waited 15 minutes after we were seated before our waitstaff took our drink order...then disappeared again for a while. Views are incredible, but sadly we weren't seated at... More

Beautiful room with a view. Very pricey - but great food and wine. A nice adult treat. Not a place for young children

If you have the time and the inclination to do a brunch and want to do it right, this is the place to go. Been there several times of the years and have taken a number of folks for the Sunday brunch. It has never disappointed.

Had a wonderful meal here. Wine service was the best I have ever seen as you could tell they were well trained. Food was top notch and the staff were fantastic. Table side prepared Caesar salad and beef were excellently prepared. Make sure to emphasize if you want placement by the dance floor or not. There is live music and... More

The food and service are only surpassed by the stunning views of the mountains. The room is lovely and the service is attentive. We tried to go a second night, but they were full. Don't miss, but reserve ahead.

No special occasion, no anniversary, no celebration but the staff at the Penrose Room made us feel as if this was a very special evening. Food was great, and plentiful. Wine suggestion was perfect, and the live music set, added a great atmosphere without ever being intrusive. We came away poorer but very happy we had decided to spend the... More

We were honeymooning and this was our 'dinner of dinner's' with dancing. We arrived early, tasted a wonderful Scotch in the bar (Lagavulin; if you like Scotch, you'll love it), then were seated overlooking the lake and mountains. The service from the staff is incredible. My wife worried we'd run them out of napkins (replaced every time you dance), just... More

As a FIVE STAR international resort one must not forget that all the luxurious amenities of the Broadmoor make it a local destination as well. The ambience, service/staff, amentities and quality local food sourcing (where possible) are complimented by the most enjoyable dinner and dance music available. The unique dinner menu (3, 4 or 7 course) offers something to satisfy... More
