Fabulous home cooked meals and the price is right. Keep in mind this is a family owned and run restaurant and that is what makes it so darn special. Everything here is made with love, like your grandmother baked it. Made to order. Ambiance is wonderful and the small staff work hard. I would rather wait here for a good... More

The quick deal is my wife and daughter and I went to this much ballyhooed restaurant with high hopes. After waiting in line and ordering AND PAYING UPFRONT COMPLETE WITH TIP, we took our seat and waited for 5 coffee re-fills and an hour for our meal to arrive. This is breakfast stuff....not rocket science. At one point my wife... More

This is a great restaurant with a warm eclectic atmosphere and a friendly efficient staff. The breakfasts are made to order. Enjoy their delicious coffee and relax while your feast is prepared. If you've never eaten sweet potato pancakes, you're in for a treat. And, be sure to pick up some baked goods to take home. Fabulous pies, both traditional... More

I've tried other places downtown that do the breakfast all day thing, and I've been most pleased with this one. It's vey good value, seems less expensive than the other ones, they seem to have healthy choices without charging you extra for them, and I actually got filled before I finished my meal. Some of them I feel like I... More

This is a order at the counter place, especially know for breakfast. A must try are the corn meal pancakes. It's not fancy - but the food is really good.

The service was really slow and the waitress was rude. We ordered sausage and shrimp gumbo, only one piece of sausage. My daughter ordered a veg meal and it came with meat. When waitress returned, she slammed down plate and never said a word. Will never go back

Ducked in here on a cold day in February. The smell was intoxicating as we crossed the threshold into this quaint little place. We were only getting coffee and dessert and weren't disappointed. Coffee is strong (with free refills) and desserts were fantastic. Great little hometown place to stop amidst the funky, oftentimes unfriendly coffee shops in downtown Colorado Springs.

We just had breakfast here for the first time while driving thru Colorado Springs. We'd definitely return and bring our friends. The wheat pancakes were delightfully flavorful, and their berry jam was awesome!

I like going to Smiley's but the counter service setup can take a long time when people are slow and indecisive, or if big orders get put in ahead of you. The pancakes are delicious, and all the baked goodies are very yummy. The grits and good but somewhat bland, and I almost never add salt to my food. Go... More

We had breakfast here on a cold morning but still were able to enjoy their patio. The food was good but not amazing, sitting outside was more of the draw. The service was prompt and polite. They had no problem dealing with our large group. Since it was cold I ordered the hot cider but was disappointed in the plastic... More
