My girlfriend and I met here for Sunday lunch. We both ordered the pan fried chicken which we were told they were well known for. No disappointment. The chicken was delicious and crisp as were the vegetables and mashed potatoes. Yummy. I think we had a new wait staff person so they did not get our salads and rolls to... More

We stopped here for our 30th wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent and the server was friendly and knowledgeable. Try the buffalo meatloaf and the four layer chocolate cake. We stuffed ourselves!

Castle Cafe is a great local restaurant, great service, food and drinks. My favorite here is the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes.

Delicious pan fried chicken, their specialty, which is cooked to order and juicy. Expect to wait around 30 minutes but it is worth it. With 4 pieces on the plate, one must have a healthy appetite, so I anticipated this and shared with my spouse. The burgers and other items looked adequate for the hungry individual. A fun place to... We ate at the Castle Cafe after we heard very good recommendations from locals. "Have to have the pan fried chicken." Well, big disappointment. We went at noon and the place only has pan fried chicken on the dinner menu, not for lunch. The service was pleasant. The food was below average and priced above average. Guess some of the... More

The Campfire Trout is outstanding! I'm gluten-free and this meal was perfect. Just skip the rolls or any bread. The wait staff is always friendly and professional. The history of the building is quite interesting.

We recent moved back to the Castle Rock area, this is one of our family's favorite places to eat. We have never had a bad meal here. Of course you have to get the chicken fried chicken. It's a very delicious serving of chicken fried chicken with a side salad and traditional mixed vega tables. Whether you are passing thru... More

Other than the veggie mix they served with the family style chicken dinner, there was nothing wrong with this dinner. The chicken is excellent, the potatoes and gravy excellent, the parker house rolls were excellent, the soup and cole slaw were excellent. There was nothing wrong with the veggies, just not my cup of tea. I was also impressed with... More

This is a good cafe. Prices are reasonable and the food quality was good. Wait time for a Saturday morning was treasonable. The history of the building is also interesting including a shoot out with a deputy and escaped Denver prisoner.

The minute we walked through the door the smell of BBQ lofted throughout the restaurant. Menu had a lot of variation. I had enchiladas because I was feeling Mexican food while my friend had the brisket sandwich. She raved about her sandwich, enchiladas were good but a little dry. I still enjoyed my meal & the experience. Service was TOP... More
