Ignore the bad reviews, this place is wonderful. Just walking into the restaurant, you can smell the fresh, aromatic spices. All the dishes I've tried here are delicious!

I like to seek out the local Indian fare when I travel so I have a wide breadth of experience. This place is below the average mostly because the dishes were highly variable in quality. So the chicken tikka masala was actually quite good despite the dark meat used in the dish. However the saag paneer was basically uneatable. The... More

Desperate for some non-Latino ethnic food, I ordered take-out from the Gandhi Indian Restaurant in one of the many mini malls in Carbondale. Boy, did I make a mistake. I ordered lamb vindaloo, one of my favorite all-time dishes. Considering the amount of potatoes in the dish, the menu should have read “potato vindaloo.” But hold on-was that really lamb... More

Our friend who we were visiting took us there. It was a nice "homestyle" Indian meal. We had appetizers, entrees and drinks. Not knock your socks off, but not bad at all. The atmosphere was subpar. I would be more

They must be wanting to go out of business, since the service and food wasn't good. It was quiet, but the waitress acted like she didn't want to be there. No welcome other than "Two?" and handed us the menus and kept my water glass full. Silverware was upside down (as in most of the place settings - wrapped in... More

Just Terrible! Our waitress greeted us with a frown, left the menus and when she returned after turning up her mexican television show, was not very nice. We saw her setting tables with her fingers IN the water glasses and just dropping the silverware on the tables. My Wife who really likes Indian food thought hers was OK but I'm... More

I used to enjoy the food from Gandhi, but the quality of their food plummeted to awful as of my most recent visit last Fall. The service has always been marginal-between okay to poor generally. Back to the food, they seemed to change their recipes or hired a new cook/chef or kitchen staff since the food became much poorer quality.... More

Not a big fan of this place at all... The food wasn't very good. It was WAY overpriced for the amount you get and everyone at our table felt like we were sick and had to call into work the next day. Not saying it was food poising but we all had extremely bad headaches. Never ever ever eating here... More

I love Indian food - but good Indian food is hard to find in CO (except perhaps in Denver and Boulder). I eat here or grab carry-out from this restaurant more than any other restaurant in the Roaring Fork Valley. The menu is quite extensive. I hope they never leave (unless it's to take over a new space with some... More
