Great Service

Super friendly and attentive staff. This diner offers fun 50's atmosphere without the weird genre-imposed dress and speak of some of these types of places. The food is solid and tasty--try the chicken breast sandwich or just a cheese burger. It is a little pricey for lunch--a burger just breaks... read more

Homemade pies & cakes! Hand battered fish filets! My third time eating here...each time has been great. My coffee was so tasty & not bitter.

While on a business trip to Carbondale, I went to this diner for an early breakfast w my colleague. It was late February and the morning temp was in the 20s so breakfast started w a hot cup of coffee. After being seated (no wait...the place was about 50% full) the server quickly arrived tableside w menus and, after giving... More

What you'd expect a 50's style diner to serve. Very clean. Friendly service with a few different offerings for a diner. Had the chicken stir fry and very generous with the veggies.

While traveling, our family is huge fan of diners. Heard many good things about this Red Rock Diner. The waitress was polite and interested in our dining experience; seating and ordering was awesome. We ordered shakes, grilled cheeses, chicken quesadilla's and onion rings. The onion rings were refried, dark brown and hard. The quesadilla was stale and carboard'ISH. The waitress... More

The nostalgic atmosphere was cute but a bit tattered looking. The service was great, A nice variety of food and they offered all the typical old time fountain drinks too! My sandwich was overstuffed and delicious, served with a giant side of sweet potato fries(yummm) My partner had the homestyle meatloaf with mashed and gravy, very good but a bit... More

We stayed at a nearby motel and ate supper here after reading positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed! We had speedy service and excellent food at a good price. I had the low carb pork chop which was grilled and juicy. The wife liked her fruity salad. Kids ate burgers and quesadillas. Large portions were what we... More

We hav eaten at the Red Rock several times in the last four years and have found it have consistently good food and service. Of course you have to filter that through the fact that we come here for greasy burgers and the bacon & eggs and all of that "unhealthy " but great tasting food. This place is usually... More

Have been there several times in the past 9 months. Seems some better server training and a little more attention to food quality would help out. It's a local iconic eatery. Please step it up!

It was a nice '50s diner with good service and average food. It was quiet and a good place to have conversation with family. I would possibly try something different next time.
