Not traditional Thai

The menu state it directly, this is not Thai food in the way that you are used to. It is however very tasty. I ordered the Mussaman curry with Lamb. It was delicious. I passed it around the table, and everyone was impressed. The others in our party had the Phat Thai noodles, and they were... read more

We like Thai food and understood this wasn't traditional...but it was so delicious. We tried many appetizers, soup and a couple of large plates. Nothing was disappointing. The bbq short ribs were our favorite...melt in your mouth and tasty when eaten with the very spicy side of kimchi. Very memorable meal. Friendly, helpful service, if a tad slow. Will definitely... Everything at Phat Thai is prepared with love and care, the flavors are great, and although not quite authentic, it's very good. I'm always skeptical whenever I see ambitious Asian cuisine high in the Colorado mountains, but Phat Thai delivers big city tastes in small town Carbondale. Eat here on your way to Aspen and you'll be happy you didn't... More

Phat Thai is one of our weekly go to, or more accurately "take out" for those nights that call for something special and you want good quality and comfort of home!! Whether dining there or at home, we enjoy the flavors and good food. Great wait staff, always friendly and helpful with choices. We are gluten free and its never... More

Another of the great places we ate in Carbondale over the weekend. We were in the mood for Thai and found this place online. The atmosphere was really neat, located in old downtown in an old building which has been tastefully updated. Right away, you know your in for something different. The menu spells that out, simply by saying the... More

Friendly, professional service. Everyone in our party loved their food, which included the Basil Chicken, Short Ribs and Crispy Tofu in coconut broth. We had brussel sprouts and edamame as apps. Expect to spend about $40-$50 per person with drinks and apps. Nice atmosphere.

Happened in on Phat Thai on a return trip to Carbondale. The menu choices all sounded fantastic, so we put our server, Andrew, on task...."surprise us and order up some of your favorite items"... WOW....everything was delicious!! Starting with Brussels sprouts, 'tacos', and sticky buns. Dinner was 'fried chicken' and spicy duck. All items were outstanding. Thank you Andrew for... More

I have been here 4 times now and each time I have really tried to enjoy it. I have always ordered something different and each time, each dish is just so uninteresting and always poorly prepared. The service is always good and the wait staff is to be highly commended. The kitchen staff, however, has simply lost their way. Truth... More

We eat out a lot, so I think we can be somewhat hard to please, However, Mark Fiscer restaurants haven't let us down yet. Phat Thai is his best. While the menu is clear about the lack of Thai origin in his family, his love for big flavor and skilled balancing of unlikely ingredients, meld into fusion dishes to please... More

If you're in Aspen skiing or otherwise visiting this area, do not miss this great restaurant and a wonderful dinner experience. Having tried most menu items, I can safely say that you cannot really go wrong here. The cocktail menu is really great. There is also consistently good service at this restaurant, which is not common for this area. Just... More
