If you suspend your understanding of how traditional Thai food should taste it's quite good. I had the ramen and substituted shrimp for tofu. The order came out just right and it was good too. We were in the Aspen/Carbondale area for 1 week and this was the worst dining (?) experience we had in quality of food and service. The curry was tasteless, the rice was clumpy and cold and the noodles were starchy and in clumps. The service was so bad, at one point, we just got up and got a pitcher of... More

We were celebrating a 1 year anniversary and had been referred to this restaurant. The seating arrangements were either counter style, or tables set close together with booth seats but we enjoyed the long counter in the middle so we could sit and talk with one another. The food was great. We had the Thai chicken salad very nice. Salmon... More

This was another place in Carbondale that was OK but nothing special. They pride themselves on being a fusion style but it was more like bland Thai food with a couple of spin off dishes. The servers were really good though and the atmosphere is nice. They have a little patio area on Main St. that is nice. I would... More

We stopped at this restaurant the first night in town. It was very good. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars was that the food was a little overly salty instead of spicy.

The menu state it directly, this is not Thai food in the way that you are used to. It is however very tasty. I ordered the Mussaman curry with Lamb. It was delicious. I passed it around the table, and everyone was impressed. The others in our party had the Phat Thai noodles, and they were delicious as well. The... More

We like Thai food and understood this wasn't traditional...but it was so delicious. We tried many appetizers, soup and a couple of large plates. Nothing was disappointing. The bbq short ribs were our favorite...melt in your mouth and tasty when eaten with the very spicy side of kimchi. Very memorable meal. Friendly, helpful service, if a tad slow. Will definitely... Everything at Phat Thai is prepared with love and care, the flavors are great, and although not quite authentic, it's very good. I'm always skeptical whenever I see ambitious Asian cuisine high in the Colorado mountains, but Phat Thai delivers big city tastes in small town Carbondale. Eat here on your way to Aspen and you'll be happy you didn't... More

Phat Thai is one of our weekly go to, or more accurately "take out" for those nights that call for something special and you want good quality and comfort of home!! Whether dining there or at home, we enjoy the flavors and good food. Great wait staff, always friendly and helpful with choices. We are gluten free and its never... More
