Wow! My wife and I ate at Casa Del Sol on our way thru town. The food was beyond bad! It was discusting! Somewhere along the line, someone told these people they could cook Mexican food but trust me, they can't! I should have went with my gut instinct when they brought the chips and salsa out. The chips were... more

Apparently this restaurant has been around since 1974, but I honestly don't see how. It's a mexican restaurant, but when we sat down we were told all entrees include soup and salad. I should have known this was weird and left immediately. The soup was "meatball consume'" which was a meatball with broth. The salad was little more than lettuce... more

the Mexican food at Casa del Sol isn't the greatest. Unfortunately, there aren't many alternatives for Mexican food in Buena Vista. more

My wife and I stopped for dinner...it looked like a great place. The wait was long at the table, the chips are tostitos and are $2.50 after the small complementary surving. We had the most expensive meals on the menu and they were simply tasteless. more

Well when I go in to a Mexican restaurant, I usually expect to pay at little bit less than at an average restaurant, just because the cost to make the food, especially what I ordered was far less than the almost $14 it was priced at (a quesadilla consisting of mushrooms and cheese) with a small side of rice&beans. The... more

This place should be renamed Casa del Suck, or Casa del Nasty, Casa wait for over an hour. We waited in line for a good long time and we also waited at our table to get service a good long time. Everyone else looked super mad and displeased. The place was dirty and not well kept up. The food was... more

We thought the food was very good. As for the building, it has some history as being very old and it does seem old. We sat outside and it was very nice. They are a little slow but other than that, it was a very good experience. The waiter apologized for the delay. The salsa was delicious and the guacamole... more

I have been to this restarant a few times for different community events. The place is dirty, dust and food on the walls, dirty salt and pepper, condiments on the table. The food is pitiful. Albondigas soup was thin broth with a tiny tasteless frozen meatball in it, nothing else. Carne Asada didn't resemble it anywhere else, a piece of... more

Have gone here after rafting trips for years. Never disappoints. Usually buy the "pachego suiza" (sp?) dish. Unique offering with excellent subtle flavors. Tried again on August 30 and they still have a good product. Although I know you can't eat ambiance, I think this may be the coziest restaurant in Colorado including the patio. more
