Burgers were good but fries were soggy. Service was very slow despite not being very busy. It was definitely more a bar than a restaurant- very dim. I didn't feel like it was a place for families even though we were there early. We didn't feel very welcome there.

This establishment is owned by a local woman whose family was one of the originals in Buena Vista. She was very friendly. the food was standard bar fare, good, and quick service.

Great burger and beer. Love the bar and historic setting of the western mountains. Local hangout with the stories of adventure and living life huge!

If you are a local you are welcomed and catered to. As a visitor you stuck out like a soar thumb. Thank goodness the grilled cheese were good.

This is a very fun place with delish food. Our favs are the Spicey Green Chili, Mushroom burgers, Hot Wings, Poppers, and Rubens - served with fresh cut potatoe fries (I think the only place around that uses fresh potatoes). Everyone is VERY friendly. Local beers and wines served. Very casual and relaxing.

This place has a lot of character and good food on top of it. It is located in the historic part of Buena Vista and obviously the Lariat Bar and Restaurant is part of that history. You enter the establishment through the bar/saloon, the dining room is in a backroom. The bartender lead us into the dining room and also... More

Had a late lunch here and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Good burger and real hand cut French fries. Very friendly service with reasonable prices.
