A small town diner situated in Buena Vista. We knew we found something special when we drove by and saw all the cars in the parking lot. Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and the place was packed! The staff got us seated in a short time, were attentive to us (even with the large crowd), and had our breakfast delivered... More

Their fare has to be one of the best restaurants in Colorado. I've taken many out-of-state and out-of-country visitors to eat there. And, I live many miles uphill in the Denver area.

The food here is more than awful! The service is awful - unless you're a local it seems. Our waitress spent time walking around texting and never refilled our drinks or asked if we needed anything. The food is substandard at best. I ordered green chile cheese fries....and the green concoction that came on them looked like vomit. I had... More

Sunday morning breakfast was great. It was crowded but they facilitated our group well and served us soon. Service was a bit slow after that but the food was worth it! Great home cooked comfort food. Got the eggs Benedict...delicious! Ham was actually thick and noticed in the middle of all the other ingredients! Would definitely return to this great... More

Friendly and attentive service. Menu is typical comfort food. Chopped steak was a bit over done, but covered in gravy. Tea was weak. Price right for the offering. I recommend it for a thrifty night out. Very convenient location, but needs more parking.

The service was really slow. It was a Sunday night and only half the tables occupied but our waitress was really slow and got out orders wrong too. Food was not worth the long wait.

My wife and I had breakfast one morning at Jan's. The service was friendly (a little slow), but the food was better then most small-town cafés. The short stack of pancakes was huge with a nice "griddle" taste which also was evident in my wife's eggs and sausage. If you grew up in a small town, you're going to enjoy... More

DH had a breakfast for dinner and I had a hot sandwich and fries. Both were very good. Great place for standard American style food that was price appropriately. Best of all, your money goes to support locals. The young people working there for the summer were very enthusiastic and I think our waiter was maybe family of the owner.... More

The restaurant was crowded which is usually a good sign. Locals must all eat there. The food portions are large, service w a s fast and dessert was delicious...an unusual array of pies to chose from and they are good!! Prices are standard for food in other restaurants but the portions are bigger than most. A nice place to eat..and... More
