We ate lunch here after rafting with our boys. The menu was varied and had something for everyone. The food was delicious, the staff very pleasant and accommodating and the atmosphere was great! We would definitely eat here again!!

If you read my reviews on restaurants you will realize that ambiance is as important as the food. I like the outdoor ambiance here. There is lots to watch as you sit on the patio, and if you are in the right seat you can hear all of the kitchen banter with ease. But it is the breakfast options that... More

The Evergreen Cafe is located right in downtown Buena Vista. They offer diner style seating as well as indoor seating and a nice patio for outdoor seating. We sat on the patio for lunch as the weather was perfect (like most summer days in Buena Vista). The staff was friendly and attentive and let us choose our own seat. We... More

It's good to finally see other reviews about this place that have it pegged. "Slow service" "Average Food". There are a lot of good reviews too. But it's easy to see why. When you're in the mountains enjoying a vacation, any food that isn't bad is good. But alas, I am not a fan of the Evergreen. I have a... More

Based upon other reviews, I was expecting at least an above average diner. Unfortunately, it was not to be the case. Admittedly, arriving at 10 am on a Sunday, one should be willing to wait. And, the wait for a table was only 15 minutes, but then the wait for drinks was 10 minutes (and we were at the bar),... More

Had breakfast with my husband here on a visit to Buena Vista. The server took forever to take our orders because she "didn't see us" at the table. Isn't that her job...to see people and take their orders? Sheesh. When our food arrived (with an average wait time) it was good, but nothing spectacular. I asked the waitress why I... More

The place was busy at lunch time, and many people had to sit outside. Service was kind of slow since it was so busy. The green chili burger was good, and since we're limiting gluten, we had it wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. Fries were good, but tax and tip and no drinks and the bill came to $22... More

While staying in Buena Vista for a weekend of camping we decided to try this restaurant for lunch based on reviews. Wow we were completely impressed. We thought it would be a wait as the restaurant was quite busy, not at all. We were seated almost immediately. This place has a really eclectic atmosphere with local artists paintings decorating the... More

Neat, clean diner reveals exciting, genuine meals. Huevos rancheros homemade, green chili, home fries. Chicken mushrooms, onions and swiss on whole wheat. The sides are top shelf! Sweet potatoe salad w black beans, shallots, cilantro; cabbage salad with sliced almonds, raisins, and sweet sauce; huge BLT; gluten-free breads. Yummy

This is a wonderful cafe right on Hwy 24 in Buena Vista. We were looking for lunch on our way to Leadville and this was perfect. Inside it has the look/feel of an old fashioned diner and is obviously a big favorite with the locals. They have traditional lunch favorites and some with a creative twist like the turkey reuben...
