Try getting a timely reservation at Swiss Haven! Such a poor-service experience! We are part-timers in this ski resort town, typically spending several weeks in the summer and again at the November-December holiday time at our vacation home here. One family tradition for us at Christmas has always been to have cheese fondue at Swiss Haven. Delicious! We four have... more

Hands down THE BEST fondue restaurant you will ever find. I have been around the world, and can deliver a promise to anyone conidering this special dining experience that it will be the single greatest evening in the best place created by heaven on earth, Breckenridge, CO... And if you enjoy spirits (as I do) certainly don't forget to stop... more

This is by far the best restaurant in Breckenridge. You can go cheaper at other places but you get what you pay for. I spent 3 of the 7 nights here trying different food and beverages. After dinner we went downstairs to hang out and the service was amazing. The new absinthe bar is fantastic and the bartender rocks. A... more

We went to Swiss Haven for the first time last winter and I was very dissapointed. We made reservations and when we arrived were told that we had a small wait. An hour and a half (!!!!!!) later we actually sat down. The restaurant was so hot by this point in the night that they actually started opening windows (it... more

This is our favorite place to dine in Breckenridge, and the best fondue experience we've had in Colorado. This place has a certain familiarity to it, kind of like dining at a restaurant in the old world. You can just about imagine that you're vacationing in Lausanne - all that's missing is Lake Geneva. They have a great wine list... more

We didn't check the menu outside the restaurant before eating dinner, because I had looked at the menu online. After having a fairly expensive meal and leaving the restaurant, my husband noticed that there was a hand-written 3-course fall special for $29 taped to the outside menu. If we had ordered the special (which was similar to what we ordered... more

On our first trip to Breckenridge we dined at the Swiss Haven Restuarant. We were greeted like old friends by the wonderful, charismatic owner Alfonso. We sat outside on their patio with a spectacular view of mountains. We had the best meal of our entire trip! Delicious appetizers, Swiss wine, authentic cheese fondue and of course Swiss chocolate. We even... more

My dinner experience at The Swiss Haven was amazing! The restaurant is quaint and beautiful, the scenery is stunning, the service is excellent and the food is to die for!! Make sure you save room for all the cheese, down to the crusty yumminess at the very bottom of the pan! ;) This is now my dinner destination whenever I... more

You should definitely dine at The Swiss Haven If you're in Breckenridge and looking for an alternative to fried foods or the typical steak/pasta restaurants so common in the town. The all-organic and imported cheese fondues range from mild to zesty blends and are served with fresh bread for dipping. Side orders, including apples, pears and red potatoes, are also... more

This restaurant has it all, from beautiful views of the Breckenridge peaks to delicious fondue cheeses, meats and desserts. They had absolutely wonderful customer service. And you have to try Peak 8 cheese fondue! This is a one of a kind restaurant that you must try if you are ever in Breckenridge! more
