Excellent Menu and Live Music!

We recently held a business dinner for 5 on our final night in Breck at the Blue River Bistro. The menu had something for everyone and most with a different twist. The table ordered pastas and chicken dishes which everyone enjoyed. For appetizers, we got the Brie, Mussels and Calamari. The... read more

First impressions were very positive - modern atmosphere, good music, interesting art. But the food was poor. Avoid penne roberto. Just a mixture of random ingredients, the pasta was overcooked and I only managed a few mouthfuls. My wife had the red deer which was better but undercooked. Salad was good.

Having spent most of the week eating burgers and comfort food we stumbled upon the Blue River Bistro on a very busy Saturday lunchtime in Breck. We then remembered that we had enjoyed wonderful martini's here a few years ago. There was a wait for the table but we all agreed that the food was delicious, the service was fast... More

We were very fortunate to be able to find last minute dinner reservations at 7:45pm thru open table at Blue River Bistro. The atmosphere was great, service was fantastic and food was superb! We will definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend it to others visiting the Breckenridge area.

While the music was great tonight (2/3/16) Everything else was NOT. We have eaten at a lot of places while vacationing here and Blue River was the most expensive with the worst service. So sad that our "nicest" meal was so terrible. The ONLY decent person was the curly headed blonde hostess. The other hostess pretty much threw the olive... More

First impressions: The ambience in the restaurant is very cool and they had a great musician playing. The drinks were good (I had an old fashioned and it was excellent) but a little slow on the service side. We were there on a Sunday night so I expected it to be a little faster. Ordered the caprese appetizer and it... More

This was our first visit. There on a Monday night at 6:30. It was very busy and loud. The tables are close together and hard to get through. I had the ruby red trout and it was SO good. Service is good. As we only had an entree and a glass of wine, I can't comment on most of the... More

Blue River Bistro is a nice restaurant offering a varietal menu. Lively and fun bar in the back of the restaurant, and they had an enjoyable jazz duo performing the night we were there. The food and service were both good.
